She does do a fabulous job taking care of the animals. She breeds & shows the donkeys. She's not making money at it yet & doesn't ever expect to make much at all. She does it because she loves the animals. They're all in excellent health & happy in their environment. I'd be the first to tell her if I thought any of them were in less than ideal condition. I have never felt the need to & I've been looking at these animals for 9 years.

I understand the calf they too (witch they failed to show) was quite well fed a little chunky! Huh wonder why they didnt show that.
I'm very sure he intended to eat the rabbits. Have you ever seen how rabbits are actually skinned alive, so they can be eaten? I have (PETA films, on You Tube, they are taken by under cover agents). The rabbits are not slaughtered first. They take about 15-20 minuets to die. The films have been used in courts as evidence for cruelty charges. One more thing.

As much as I love animals, PETA makes those films for their shock value. Rabbits are skinned alive for their fur, not for their meat. Yes, that is wrong. I grew up raising rabbits for food. They were killed quickly.

Thank you for the correction. Please let it be known, that I make a mistake, it will be on the side of furr and feather friends. I am their voice. I know, I'm not alone. But I can't speak for everyone. Love your animals, cuddle, and pet them. Don't wear them and don't eat them.

I will never understand how people can do this to animals, why do they have them if they don't want to care for them. To bad we can't stave them for there punishment.

i know it is ultiamely the owners responsible for welfare of their aninmals but isnt it rather strange that it took 2 years to get this sick person--i know there are legal steps involved but when the humane officer said she baically could not reason with man any longer- why did it take her 2 long years to allow him to continue-usually the visits to the animal abuser is not random--giving ample opportuntiy to "clean up their act" temporarily. the humane officer has the right to remove an animal after a certain amount of time if he or she feels they are being abused,,,if they are dying they can remove them immediately!!!!!
glad to know she did get him--but its too little-too late!!!!!!! people need to donate to these shelters to be able to allocate funds necessary to do their jobs adequately..please help these animals...

you know I could explain alot more of the story that was left out of the report. But it seems people would run their mouths than under stand all the information. That was not there for the viewing public to see or undrestand! As I said b4 this man loves these animals. He does not buy feed to let it sit in a barn somewhere. Something that was not included in the report was the APL did not "find" the dead animal he was reported by one of his loving neighbors. Carl bought the stallion from a person who could not afford the animal any longer. Old people enguage in intercourse why not old horses? It's not uncommen. So throw the man in jail for trying to take care of a aleardy half dead animal. I know the truth. not the offical who came up with this stuff! funny how they didn't bring up charges until better than 2 weeks later. In closing I would like to say,Animals that are not sick do not need a vets attion. your all stupid for buying everything the media has to say and for the doumb **** who didnt read my preavious poast maybe you should. Water freeze Einstein. Maybe had they left him alone to care for the animals they would not have had frozen water. No wonder people in other countrys hate us you people are stupid!
You really need to grow up!! Your ignorance is pathetic!! You cannot even spell the word "post". I have no sympathy for you or this ignorant SOB that did this to these animals...You all including this follower of our LORD pastor BOB, need to be put in a cage with no protection from any elements, no food, no water, NO NOTHING.. And let me sit back and watch you suffer...

I do remember a segment from one of The Animal Cops TV shows. A woman was in trouble for starving 15 horses. The horses were all seized. The judge gave the woman about 6 months in jail, a huge fine, and 15 days on bread and water.

thats not the point! Can you read? He was arrested then 18-20 hours they came to take the animals duh. thats when they made the report. they took him away from his ainimals. Therefore they took away. the care giver. only to let him go after the took them! And the way things are I bet the BS 1st charge is dropped. otherwise there would have been water and food. Look at the video. look at that rabbit he's holding trying to make things look bad. that rabbit is full of hair and fat as any other healty rabbit I have ever seen.

Actually, she got 3 days on bread & water. She was also required to have pictures of the starved animals put on the walls of her cell. That was Judge Dale Gryzinsky (sp?) who imposed that sentence. He rocks!

Yeah, like he could nurse the animals back to health in 18-20 hours. These atrocities took weeks to happen, not hours.
