They deserve the death penalty and nothing less....he was one of my brothers and closest friends. There was no reason for such an act of violance like this. I hope the suffer worse than he did

They all should pay for this gruesome crime. No regard for human life. How could anyone stand by and watch this without trying to stop it. My prayers go out to this young man's family.

Here we go again. I thought Jefferson was the other black guy. I guess my memory isn't so good. Be that as it may, those involved here should spend time in jail. Bottom line. Don't care what color they were. A man is dead.

Agreed. This article is bullspit and typical of Fox. Adrian Barker doesn't even know how to fight. I have respect for all of your views, and even more for Chris and his family, but the wrong kid is on trial here..

Another waste of youth. These "thugs" think they are bad*ss's but are really trash. If it can be proven that they are guilty, put them out in front of a firing squad and end it.

They don't look so bad sitting in court. What a shame.

Its about time! I hope you enjoy looking all snazzy in your suit sitting in court because pretty soon the only color you will be wearing is an orange prison uniform.

People need to quit making excuses for these sorry POS. "He didn't know how to fight"?!? Yeah, well apparently he knew how to kick a soccer ball!!! Plus they had been drinking. Being under the influence makes you do some pretty stupid shit whether you remember it or not! Unfortunately for CK it had fatal results. Lock these murderers up and show them the same "love" they showed Chris.

Let it be a lesson to all of society, you want to act like animals then we will throw you in a cage!

Chris didn't beat himself to death.
These "men" chose to throw away their "bright" futures when they chose to get out of the car instead of going home where they belonged. They made that CHOICE and now they WILL PAY for their actions!

Newsflash: It doesn't take any bit of know-how or skill to stomp someone in the head when they are already down. Which is what it appears this coward did. I see you care for Chris and his family, but please don't make excuses for ANY of these idiots. They all took part in this crime and a young man is now dead. They should all rot in prison...then in hell.

Well put! I hate excuses! Excuses are like arseholes, everyone has one and most of them stink! They all had something to do with, no matter how large or how small their part was. I believe when all the evidence is presented those 3 will get EXACTLY what is coming to them.

what happened to innocent until proven guilty wait until everything has been said and all of the evidence is out before you start throwing daggers in the end three lives are over and for the third person he is my brother and from what he has been through in his life he does not have a violent bone in his body. let the law handle the trial you can have an opinion but don't forget what happened all four were drinking and it could have been the other way around there all kids and until you have all the facts keep your mouth shut. all we can hope is that justice and the truth prevails. but as a law student the entire case was compromised when the KSU students moved the body and when the police jumped to conclusions and did a lineup in the street.

What I was trying to say is he is not a fighter. Its just not in his character. Adrian is a standup young man from a rich and diverse background. The thoughts of rage and discrimination are ridiculous assumptions. You all don't know what's going on in court, nor do you know who did what regarding this incident. Fox, as well as the Prosecution, wants you to believe that Adrian Barker is something he's not. Whether you think for yourselves or follow like sheep, just keep in mind that the second guilty party (in addition to Kelly) was probably set free the night of the incident...

I have read and heard the background on Adrian and it truly does appear that he was a fine young man. But even nice kids such as himself get mixed up with the wrong people and can act completely out of character given the right situation. It seems to me that Adrian willingly participated in beating this young man to death and whether he was a good kid or not, he's now a murderer. He could have handled himself in many different ways that night and he obviously made the wrong decision. And his unusual break from character ruined the rest of his life - not to mention the rest of the Kernich families' lives.
