Never lost a foundation? Ah hello the El Portal burned to the ground and you used a million gallons of water that not only made a mess beyond normal the rfd flooded other stores basements in that block. you sit their and try to show your heroism but your part of a group of idiots who run the city. A good water hose is intense completion for our cracked out fire department. The wild fire we saw was out by hotshots our fd was the water boys and that's a fact.

Wow, do you even know what a foundations is? Firefighter’s comment was meant to be sarcastic

Just as sarcastic as commenting on misspelled words? Especially given the obvious reasons that to make error is only human? Perhaps the commentators on topix should chew on that for a moment.

y'all are so quick to jump on a persons grammar that is why nothing ever gets done in raton, you're to busy concentrating on bull sugar. what the hell are y'all doing when you should be doing your jobs which consist of being a public servant?

And the truth remains about the foundations, RFD flooded the hell out of the businesses on Second Street. What is your reason for that? You couldn't figure out how to turn the hose off? Well that is another one for the books right along with why couldn't you get the "Inferno" under control. I heard y'all were contemplating calling in a sludge bomber to put out the little bitty fire you $5 an hour chumps could not put out. Oh but wait y'all are so professionally trained like them big city fire departments i forgot. I still believe a garden hose is a more effective tool then the fire fighters we have.

What's even funnier is that the state fire marshal's office in Santa Fe even commented saying, " Good luck to them boys, if Lita is going to investigate the fire she couldn't find her fat ass with the new chiefs help." Challenge me if it aint the truth. Any Questions? Didn't think so.

Amy G - sounds like you got dumped by one of those firefighters. Meow (do you need a saucer of milk)?

Anyway - Yes, the basements of those buildings had water in them - Yes, those buildings had some smoke damage but will it ever occur to you that those firefighters dumped a lot of water on those buildings to help prevent them from burning down??? Didn't think so.

Stop in all or some of those buildings and ask the owners what they think about the situation. I'm real sure not one of them will agree with you - they are damn happy they have buildings and are grateful and pleased with the Raton Firefighters.

And as far as you and your garden hose - good luck with that!

Hey Rog, you too sir, ARE AN IDIOT!!! that dumbass has no idea what she it talking about! As far as flooding other buildings on second street, think about it, a little water damage OR those buildings burn down along with El Portal... pretty obvious choice by the RFD. Then the ignorant bitch Amy wants to talk about the Track Fire.... she again has no idea what she's talking about, yes Hotshots were called in(common practice for a large fire) but so were other resources. And yes RFD did help to save the city for you ungrateful losers for the duration of the incident and even after protecting you drinking Water. Anyone else have any factual rants they want me to call them on???

As I told you bitchws before I ain't ever had no beef with RFd but if you bitchws want to throw your towel in the ring lets start putting the whole department under the public spot light. So if your so brave punk ass I'm not hard to find why don't you step up and stop acting like that ass you pound called Shrake.

Just wondering, what is it with you people in Raton having such a problem with people in uniform? Is it a childhood problem carryover into adulthood, authority issues, jealousy or is it just stupidity? In all reality we actually need the policemen and firemen like it or not - so you all need to just get over it.
To the law enforcement people and the fire fighting people and the emergency service people - From the remaining residents in Raton - Thank you

I believe the answer to your question is based on two generalizations we as a community have created, after numerous occasions of witnessing public service agents (uniformed personnel) take part in unethical and unprofessional behavior.

I can't say much about RFD like I said I have never had beef with your agency but don't under estimate my interest in investigating you folks too.

How ever citizens have seen one of our own become police officers and then they get this huge ego . Next thing you know comes the over self confidence . Then when you disrespect someone you forget they have friends and family. If the police or uniformed civil servants would base there job on ethics and treat citizens with more respect they would see a dramatic change . As long as we have a chief sitting in a position that is showing no real progress to the community you will fill the heat. The only way to end the problem is to redesign an entirely new department and do away with "All" the old blood. Redesign the budget and creat an office that deals with complaints from the citizens. If someone has to fel the tax cuts let it be RPD and their administrative salaries .
