Fire guts UTEP-area club: Man charged with arson as police sear...

Fire destroyed a shuttered nightclub near a popular entertainment district, caused significant traffic problems on busy North Manuel Angel Solis, 29 Mesa Street and resulted in the arrest of a man on an arson charge Wednesday morning.

How ridiculous that people talk about how "Exciting" this event was. There is something VERY wrong in that area. How many people have been killed walking across the street? How many drunk and drugged up drivers are around there every day/night? That whole area needs to be shut down.

It seems that we don't really understand that with out the pillars(fort bliss, night life, commerce and UTEP) that hold up this city economically we are nothing. We have those brand new UTEP facilities going up directly across the street from these eyesores. What kind of image does this give to people who come from out-of-town to visit our campus? Renovate them or demolish them!

That guy is right, its all about the attitude, you should support local businesses, that way the money stays in el paso. As far as the cincinnati area that are area has some of the best places to bring tourists and visitors, I know its not much, But where else could you take them? downtown plaza area? same thing. So please support your local business owners and stop complaining. Only you can start making a difference. As far as racism, that will end soon because Mexicans & latinos are now a Majority!
