It is appalling that these businesses/individuals think they are above the law by not paying taxes. This revenue could be used to support vital members & programs of our society, such as schools, teachers, health care programs, law enforcement, and fire & rescue!

I'm really shocked that these people owe these high amounts but can also have a understanding that times are hard for everyone, but it really is not understandable for the ones who are really rich or live outlandish lifestyles that they continue to live like that and owe money like that.I was really shocked how I was treated by the state for just oweing $31.00 and I forgot about it, but they contacted DMV over this small amount, but here are individuals who owe so much but continue to drive and live in their luxury homes.I paid ASAP but was treated like a common criminal. This goes to show you that who you are makes a difference.

How much additional spending did the local governments do in order to publish these lists? Is this a thrifty action in hard times? No, it is not.

What was the purpose of this publication? Are we, ordinary residents supposed to go out and lasso the delinquent tax dodgers and deliver them to the front doors of the respective city and county buildings?

Perhaps the public servants could try cutting back on idiotic spending when they do not have the money to spend.

While families are nearly starving, the various local governments have been proudly announcing their increases in spending on completely unnecessary projects, simply because they want to.

Certainly, those who do owe taxes should pay them--the way the rest of us do.

Although there are a few names on the lists who could pay what they owe out of pocket money, there are some people on the list who have lost everything they had and simply have no money to give to anyone.

Grow a brain, folks.

This is how the city collects it money.. from the poor and working class. They send garnishment notices to your employeer for less than a $100 and treat you like a criminal but the wealthy can continue not paying taxes!! It is not just locally but on a state and federal level. How many of our congressmen and senators owe a lot of taxes?? It seems that if they did aggressive tax collection on the rich the way they do the poor the state might have some money. Well I guess they figure the contribute to the city in other ways so they don't worry about it.

Checking the tax status of any business with which you are considering association is due diligence. They could just bring you down with them. These tax delinquency "red flags" are made available to help you make decisions as to whether or not you (and your money) should stay away from them.

How much additional spending did the local governments do in order to publish these lists? I think the TV station did the research. Whereas i pay 1200 year in taxes because I'm a conservative, they have acres and acres of house to pay for. so their tax per year is 12,000

Two questions arise in my mind:

Are cumulative annual penalties assessed for late payment? If not why not?

I agree "Real Estate doesn`t walk". But personal property can and does. Is that "just a write-off"?

Additionally, I have sympathy for my fellow man, however; those who risked for higher gain (certain investments) deserve no more consideration than the ones who "played it safe" for less gain. Life is tough. So are choices.

It is a real shame that we "little people" have to carry the ball for the so called "hot shots" around town.

Perhaps Ms. Kluge and Mr. Moses should have been paying their taxes instead of getting their name on a building.....have they not heard of priorities?

What in the world makes you think they are not subject to the same rules and consequences as anyone else? I can tell you for a "fact" that they are subject to the same penalties. laws and rules as anyone else. So its not the County or the City that needs to "DO SOMETHING" it is the person that owes the taxes that needs to DO SOMETHING!!.

Pat Kluge -- exotic dancer turned millionaire by marriage. Lost it all? Not surprised. There was a story months ago indicating that she was merely "consolidating" or some such hooey.

Just because you can afford to buy a business does not mean you have a head for business.

I hope they get the tax money from her and other business owners who have lived a lavish lifestyle.
