Whens the last time the Democrats have Ever did anything big for ELPaso.
The only ones who have are Paul Foster, Hunt, Senator Drewhurst, and Governor Perry.
All supported and helped to create the Texas Tech Medical Center, The Texas Tech Medical School, The New Utep Nursing School, The New UTEP Science and Engineering Lab, and The UTEP Larry Durham Athletic Facilities.
And Yes They Are All Republicans.
So Put Up or Shut Up !!
Well, the marxist dems glorify open borders so drugs, terrorists and everyday criminals can come here with arms wide open.

Rick Perry wrote:
Dear Texans:
Thank you for electing me to be again your Governor. I will continue to fight Washington to protect state rights, particularly the rights of the State of Texas. I will continue to fight for a secured border and protect Texans from the drug war in Mexico. I will continue to fight for better education and healthcare for our children. I will continue to oppose government-run healthcare. I will continue to push for fiscal responsibility in Austin. I will continue to push for a pro-business environment in Texas in order to growth the economy and create jobs.
Again, thank you my fellow Texans.
oh wow governor, didn't know you were in el paso as your location indicates, thought maybe you would be in Austin during election time..

Sorry, but just because your father wouldn't take care of his wife and kids is really your problem. There are people out there who had parents and a father who really loves them forever.

That was the dumbest comeback ever(ohnoyoudidnt). What does getting used by the Repubs have to do with being successful in life and expect to be given everything? You need to shut the hell up and stop making comments that have absolutely nothing to do with readers' comments, or their opinion; you moronic psuedo-intellectual.

I love Texas but it was the small towns/cities votes that accumulated more votes and decided the outcome for governor. Look at the county results in Texas. White won in Dallas,Houston,Austin,San Antonio,El Paso,Laredo,Corpus. It's all these small towns/cities that made Perry governor, not the major cities who actually understand what it going on with real issues.

Perry didn't win Dallas county, but he won every county that surrounds it: Rockwall, Denton, Collin, Ellis, Tarrant, Hunt, Kaufman and Johnson.

Perry didn't win Harris county, but he won every county that surrounds it: Waller, Montgomery, Chambers, Liberty, Ft Bend, Galveston, and Brazoria.

I can go on and on, the big cities mean nothing when the people who work in them... don't live in them! El Paso is rare, the people who work there, live there. People commute to Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio from the surrounding areas on a daily basis they know the REAL issues... that's why they live in the suburbs!

I noticed that most of the important seats in Texas were won by Republicans. And in those same races El Paso voted for the Democrat. So next time the Democrats in El Paso cry about not getting any help from Austin just look in the mirror and ask yourselves WHAT HAVE WE DONE FOR AUSTIN TO SHOW OUR SUPPORT? El Paso has been run by Democrats for the better part of 90 years and what has that gotten us? The poorest county in Texas, most high school drop outs per capita, highest unemployment and corruption in city government so bad the FBI had to conduct an investigation. Yes El Paso these are the DEMOCRATS you keep putting in office year after year after year. You have a congressman named Sylvestre Reyes who has done absolutely nothing but vote for Obama’s social programs. The DEMOCRAT straight party voters are keeping El Paso in the dark ages.

Uhh...not for long. Even GOP strategists realize that with a majority ethnic population hitting 2030-2035 Texas is getting a lot more urban and liberal.

You are so right! The same issue with New Mexico. As least Texas has a growing economy, great universities and great cities. NM is hostile to business. Has the highest rate of pregnant unwed mothers, horrible education system. WE have a saying here in NM want to keep NM poor, uneducated and pregnant... Vote Democrat.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Cancer

You have stars in your eyes and you're in a really romantic mood today. Your idea of heaven is to be with that special person in your life, preferably doing something very nice. If you meet someone new or a relationship gets off the ground today, things will always be rather dreamy and otherworldly between you. It will be as though real life, with all its problems, never intrudes on your time together.
