This is terrible news. Paxton is my hometown, and there are so many families in that area that depend upon BAC as a sole means of income.
The idea that we could even possibly be heading toward a Depression seemed absurd to me before, but now I fear for the future of my town and my country very much. |

I was one of the guys from Baltimore that opened the BAC plant in 1973 I moved my family out there in 1975 and remained until I moved to Amsted in 1987. Some of my fondest memories are of BAC and the wonderful people that worked in the plant and office. One of the greatest workforces in the world! My heart and prayers go out to those folks. I am also concerned about the future of Paxton. Only GOD knows what will happen.

Al G. Did you happen to know a James Ham while you worked there? I know it was a long time ago, but he was my father. He passed away in 1988, a year after you left. I don't for certain how long my dad worked at BAC, but I was just wondering if you knew him.

Bob H Yes I did know your father. I had heard he passed away. For a long time I stayed in touch with the BAC folks and they kept me up-to-date on happenings around BAC, That was along time ago.

Al I worked out at BAC in office for about 1-2 years before you left, it was a pleasure getting to know you. I worked with Sherri & Candy in customer service. I worked out there for about 10 years.
I also new your father,Jim, what a great guy he was, I will never forget when I got married he gave me a knife set as a gift, but he made me give him a penny for it because he said he didnt want it to cut our friendship up. That way it looked like I bought it from him. He was a great man. I feel so bad for all the people losing there jobs at BAC. I have a lot of great memories during the time I worked out there. |
