You open fire at a police officer period then you deserve to get shot! Only people I feel sorry for is the POLICE that get NO respect for risking their lives around you dope dealing low lives of LC! & cannot believe ANY of you would defend someone who tried to "shoot their way out" Do you relize most police officers are out protecting the community and also supporting their families? Some of yall should try it! Hats off 2 the officer that was killed =( and in prayers that one that was shot is ok and very glad that there is no funeral service for the other officer!
Even though the man, who was mentally ill, had no idea they were the cops? He believed that they were people that were just out to get him. Remember, he never fired at anyone prior to the police surrounding his house. The police chose to breach his house, even though that had been told he was mentally ill and he had told 911 that he didn't know who was in his yard. He had no hostages, hadn't hurt anyone, had committed no crime, yet they felt like they needed to storm into his house and apprehend him. They fired over 200 rounds at a 60 year old man with a .22 cal pistol. Yeah, he shot the dog, but if they hadn't breached the house like a bunch of cowboys the dog nor officers would have been in harms way and he would still be alive. Family was on the scene but not allowed to talk to him even though he had asked for help. Why were the cops in a hurry to end this? The house was over 200 feet from the nearest neighbor. This was a very rural area. He was in the home alone. All he did was shoot his gun behind his house, had a nosy neighbor call the cops on him, and 10 hours later he was dead. After killing him they let his body burn in the fire. Speaking of the fire, how did it happen? The fire Marshall says it is a suspicious fire. Just do the math, something doesn't add up. What if it had been a child or an dimensia patient, or a deaf man, or anyone else who may have been confused about what was going on? He never tried to kill anyone, as far as he was convened he was just trying to protect himself. Just as anyone else would do if they thought someone was trying to kill him and they didn't know it was the police. He was ill, he had medication. Just remember that before you judge you should realize that the police will spin a story to make it sound better for them and the news media just follows their lead. Take some time and research, and watch the outcome of this. It is not over, not by a long shot.

Roger was an old friend of mine this a sad situation that someone died. When cops are scared of you or have a grudge, your going to die. Why not wait him out if it took a year it would not have led to a death. Im going to miss Roger we used to call him Bradley. Ride on brother they know what they did right or wrong. Patience dont be in a hurry to kill somebody officers.

steve you are a low life. the police are more corrupt than the criminals. well i am convicted felon that makes $40 an hour, i bet that is a tad bit better than yourself. there is a reason that police are paid very little, they are overpaid the way it is. they trade tickets for sex, and many other kickbacks, i know because i have personally paid them off with cash on many occasions for evidence to disappear and for them to not show up for court.
wow thanks for only proving my point, as for you calling me a low life coming from you I consider that a compliment, so keep your prison bullshit I worked at Mt Olive years ago and the prisoners have it made so you shouldn't call it hard time, unless you were at Moundsville, as far as you making more than I do, that's right you do until May, that's when I graduate Med school and I'm on track to graduate with honors. So call everyone corrupt you want but it sounds like you want everyone to be as low and underhanded as you are. Yes there are dirty cops but that is less than 1% of 1% that are. So I know your why you are biased. Once again thank you for proving my point and the way that act you will visiting all of your old buddies on the hill again. Have a nice day CONVICT.

Everyone involved is sleeping just fine and grateful to be alive, thank you. If he had mental issues as stated, then he should NEVER have been left alone with a gun around. If we're going to lay blame, who was responsible for this so-called mentally ill person? Did he have a caretaker? A guardian? Where were they when all this started? Should we condemn and persecute them the way some of you are doing some of the bravest men I have ever known? Castle or no castle what he did was try to kill some good men who did everything in their power to end it peacefully. They didn't go busting in without cause. They spent HOURS trying to end this without bloodshed. If he had shown up at your door with his gun who would you have called? He chose his own fate plain and simple. Not one of you has lain awake at night wondering if your loved one is safe because they protect others. Not one of you has buried a friend who died in the line of duty. Not one of you has had to explain to your children that daddy can't be here for them because he is out taking care of someone who needs help. Not one of you has had someone knock on your door at three in the morning wanting your husband to leave his warm bed because they're having a fight with a family member. I wonder why I even read this shit you all post and then respond, but sometimes I feel I should stand up for my husband and our brothers in this family we call the state police. You people have no clue and never will.

I do not know why I even waste my time on here, but I do. If any of you people knew Mr. Stacey you would understand how sad the situation is. He was not right mentally and the police chose to make this situation which could have been resolved by having someone he knew talking to him, end in death. They were intent on killing him. They would not let his brother, son or any of his friends talk to him. The police in this area are scum and it's sad that they are able to act in this way with no consequences. They did not try to handle the situation differently because they did not value this life that they so freely took. As for the people who are so up in arms about the dog, it is sad that you think more of animals than of human beings. Animals have no soul they were put on the Earth to serve humans. The fact that the remains of a dog were more important is disgusting. I hope that all the law enforcement knows Karma will come around to get them.

But if the man had known that it was cops would has been different bit they went there to kill him ...... He was a good man and the damn law would prolly do it to any one ....but he was done wrong and some

I am from Lincoln County but have lived in Wayne County for almost 20 years (most of my adult life). Your explanation of Lincoln County explains Wayne County. The two counties are the same in every way. Wayne County has as many good and bad people as Lincoln County. You need to come off your pill high and write something of substance. BTW, most of the officers involved in the incident were from Huntington!

People you have to vote out the current leaders!! Stop re-electing Folger.. It's starts with the snakes's head. Cut it off! Why do you think we have so few jobs or new businesses in LC? The chosen few families run them out! We have the same leaders from the same families generation after generation... Listen to the nasayers on here... They are defending the TOOLS that ensure the good ole boy system here continues. The poor victims here were poor and uneducated without anyway to retaliate against the situation no matter how it was handled. Complete police corruption in it's purist sense. That's Curt Folger and our law enforcement eradicating the poor and uneducated one bullet at a time.

You know I knew Roger Stacy and he was a good person..He had his issues but he didnt need to be locked up or anything like that.He never liked electronics..Always thought that people could see you but he wasnt a dangerous man.The police knew exactlly what they was doing..I dont know what he did for them to enter his house and a dog at that. If a dog came after me in my house YES I am gonna shoot it.Knowing how he was about electronics, what did they do,send in a robot...PLEASE!!!! Why didnt they leave him alone....He wasnt shooting at anyone, beleive me if he wanted you dead you would be dead...He didnt know what the hell was going on..And the fire...come on people dont take a smart person to figure that out...Wouldnt let the fire dept up there.People need to stop dogging Roger, and put the blame where it should be JJ....Roger was shooting in back yard...someone called 911 and good ole JJ stopped at the foot of his hill and walked up there,if he would have drove Roger might have known who you was..DUMBASS..JJ seen him with his gun going in the house and he got scared..I hope JJ has nightmares all the rest of his days..He took a man life...and as far as poor Zoey.....you make me sick...Its a dog people Roger was someones Dad,brother, etc.I hope the people that bad mouth Roger cant sleep..imagine that being your Dad,brother,etc..RIP Roger we miss you dearly...and what they say what goes around comes around.

You don't bring a knife to a gun fight...the same holds true with a tranquilizer gun. These poor sick men had real guns with real bullets, their deaths were a direct result of their own foolish actions.
