Found guilty today. Resigned to make charges go away. They are not going anywhere. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Judge Doss will not be so cocky now. Will he?

I like Judge Doss! I hope this is not true and that he will still be serving the people of Fannin, Gilmer, and Pickens!

N. Ga. judge accused of misconduct

By The Associated Press

ATLANTA - The state is charging a North Georgia judge with 12 counts of misconduct.

The state Judicial Qualifications Commission on Monday alleged that Oliver Harris Doss Jr. of Blue Ridge allowed family members to use laptop computers purchased with taxpayer dollars and repeatedly failed to rule on motions within the 30 days allowed under the law. The commission also accused Doss of threatening and intimidating court staff and parties in cases before him.

Doss resigned on Friday from the Superior Court of the Appalachian Judicial Circuit.

The state Judicial Qualifications Commission investigates complaints of judicial misconduct.

Doss could not immediately be reached for comment on Monday.

Anything misconduct by Doss pales in comparison to Barrett. In my opinion, Barrett should be under a jail for conspiring with criminals and prosecuting victims. He has NO business on any bench.

Actually Judge Barrett is a good judge. He is not the friendliest man in the world, but he does his job!

No he doesn't. He can't even get the most basic issues correct. He cannot distinguish between guilt and innocence in criminal cases, cannot understand even the basic precepts of civil remedy and has no business on the bench by even the wildest stretch of distorted rationalization. It has been my considerable experience with Barrett that he is no better than a common street thug.

You have got to be kidding or related to Barrett to make a statement like that. The only reason he is still in there is because if any lawyer were to run against him and lose then they would have to close their practice and leave. He is the most vindictive, crude, conniving, individual (other than Liemar) that calls the mountains home.
