Has anyone had a knee replaced recently? March 20th is time for my wife , then three weeks later the other one.

Have you already tried EVERYTHING else first?
Medication, braces, injections; if you haven't already, read up on the replacement problems, it can be worse than the original problem. It should be a LAST resort. Don't take your doctors word for it just because he says you should.

I know someone that had a custom CAD designed replacement done, and walked that day. He was very happy with it. Amazing technology.

Mom had her's done a couple years back. She had both done before leaving the hospital. I believe it was about 4 days apart. They had her up walking the next day. They used some kind of machine attached to her leg to exercise it while in bed. She did say she would probably not had the second one done if she had ever left the hospital. Of course you don't have to tell your wife that part.

Make sure she does her rehab right from the get go. My husband has had both done and was back at work within 30 days of surgery for each. No regrets.

My husband had one in July. He is thinking twice about having the other knee done. It was the most painful experience he has ever had.
Last month he finally has no pain in that knee and says it feels stronger. My husband had rehab immediately but, still the recovery was long. He is glad he had that knee done, but is not looking forward to the next surgery.

Thank you all for your responses , she is a little nervous. She has been putting it off for over a year. She is ready now , has all her friends support. My daughter and Grandkid are standing by.

She can't wait to walk Bears Way with new knees.

My family will be thinking of your wife tomorrow. I hope all goes well and she will welcome summer pain free. May you and your family find some time to relax.
