I meant good in the sense that at least there is a consequence. I don't believe the other prisoners will treat this guy well.

Eight years in jail for what he did? Shame on the judge.
And the girl who lured him? No jail time? Shame on the judge.
What has happened to our judicial system?

eye for an eye. It has to be. No other fair treatment is possible in this case. The torturers should be given equal treatment to what they did. I would volunteer to administer the punishment. Suggestions could include stoning, burning at the stake, or like Cool Hand Luke, locked in a confining box in a nice warm place. Perhaps the victim would like to add something.

So that's the cost for kidnapping, beating and torturing a helpless individual?

Did the judge go by strict sentencing guidlines or were there mitigating circumstances the court had to adhere to by law?

In any case this guy is going straight to a life in hell. Even prisioners have standards.

8 years? for beating the tar out a handicapped person for NO REASON! These people need life or to be made handicapped themselves to live thier lives in terror. Since the judge doesn't see fit to care about Handicapped people maybe he needs to rethink how he would feel if it were his son or daughter.. If that happened to my child that guy would pray he doesn't end up in a jail where I know somebody.. he wouldn't make it out of jail in one piece. What useless pieces of garbage all of them are. I hope the other inmates have no mercy on them.

If my girlfriend told me some guy assaulted her I would of worked over this guy too. The real problem is that she supposedly cried wolf to her boyfriend and then changed her story when pressured by prosecutors. What really needs to happen is an investigation on whether or not this girl was assaulted or not. Then you guys can pass judgement.

You're lucky to have a girfriend who sets her intellectual standards for men at such a low level.

Really? You would have tortured somebody? Maybe you should check the Gitmo job listings. You might need waterboarding experience though.
