If anyone else was caught red handed stealing from Kohls it wouldnt have taken one month to indict them! Look back at the records and see how many shoplifting cases have been before the courts. They will prosecute a shoplifter to the fullest extent of the law but someone stealing $3500 (that they know of) from a corporation should just pay restitution and sweep it under the rug because they are the wife of a detective???? Joke!

The money was not really on $3,500. It was $10,000 originally or did you forget. Now they are telling two stories, one that Kohl's can only proove $3,500 and the other is that $6,500 was paid back by WHOM??? She'll walk just like she always has.

There is already a thread on this subject but it seems you want the limelight or can't follow along. I'm sorry I'm a bit pissy, but I'm sick and tired of you gloom and doom posters who make up all kinds of crud and throw it out as fact. Fact is the issue was handled properly, like it or not and fact is she has been indicted. The latter should keep your drool flowing for another month.

She was not indicted. She is being arraigned. And, bottom line, agreements are in place for her to pay restitution and eventually have no record. Get over it.

It seems everyone that is involved in running Stoyac and Pop warner dip their hands into the funds... All the way back to Levine and Kowalzcyk!

Does not surprise me about somebody associated with Stoughton police, Selectmen or youth sports getting caught stealing and having it swept under the rug, so the townspeople don't hear about it!
Then when it gets reported by the press, The Townie brownies get pissed and defend these crooks!

"arraigned" yes, my bad. I am over it, but like your post above, your throwing out items as fact that the news account has already disqualified. Also, as a previous post notes, I'm not defending the accused actions or the accused. Don't know her. I'm defending the departments actions on this case based on what was reported AND I'm stating simply that I'm tired of posts that make claims of fact of rumor and innuendo.
Finally, FYI, but paying restitution is a very common mandate of the court.

Just so you know, Kohl's has a long history of not prosecuting shoplifters. After they are arrested and arraigned, Kohl's fails to follow through with prosecution. If you don't believe me ask the Stoughton ADA. And it does take some time to indict someone. You don't just sprinkle pixie dust and POW! they're indicteded. Look how long it took in the Jim Miller case. I would recommend you do some homework before you go spewing you nonsense! Or do you even care that what you are writing is not true? PHFA

If you read the police logs, they arrest people for small money shoplifting there all the time. She was not arrested for a much larger amount.

No, It's not that we are not credibil, It's the town does not want to admit that there are sooo many clepto's with job's they have no business having, a lot of the town employees have a clepto problem, town workers make tool's disapair, cop's, well we know enough about most of them dating way back in the 70's, BOS, nothing get's done unless they are getting a pay back some how, town hall, look who they hired, give me a break. Talk about go hide under a rock. Where are all the police and their wives, I don't see any of them defending RB and AB, maybe, just maybe, they are starting to believe the rest of the townie's. I could write a book on what she has pulled at ALL her other job's, I may just do that, It would be #1 on the best sellers list.

Cori's are done on all Town employees. If she had something on her Cori she would not have been hired, pressure from former selectmen got her the job. I am sick of people trashing Stoughton employees. They are not all bad and some work extremely hard and take a lot of abuse, because they are "Town Employees". By the way they only get paid for a 34 hour week!!! Not 40 like everyone thinks.

This wasn't a shop lifting case where someone was caught red handed, this was a inside job where an investigation and audit was needed to even learn of the loss and pursue its origin. The SPD did the correct thing in referring this to an outside investigator due to obvious conflicts. Now, I'm sure you've read the papers along with these posts so why do you keep comparing apples to oranges?

Did it ever occur to you she NEVER put her other jobs down, ask her what happened when she worked at her other job's, i think one was a floor co. and another believe it or not was at a jail, how funny is that? So please, defend the ones that need to be defended these two don't, over and out, 10/4.

calm down. She will be working the lost and found dept. tonight at the fireworks so if you lose your money or wallet honest RB will return it to you. EMPTY. She's been stealing money and items for OVER THIRTY YEARS. Ask her old HS friends how she was stealing even while getting sympathy for her back brace from scoliosis. She's always been a trip.

I am glad that CORI check was mentioned. That is theultimate joke in a hiring sequence as it only shows convictions. We had a coacjh in stoughton with six drunk driving cases that were pushed under the carpet. No conviction so he always got through cORI He would die the kids in his truck usally half in the wrapper. nice guy but he had problems. CORI missed them. Why doesnt the town out source to a company specializing inthis type of business of backgrounds. Less chance of missing the obvious.

The town Don't miss a thing. When convenient it's overseen. When caught, it was an oversight. Obviously, you don't live in Stoughton or don't know much. Don't ask Alan Stein, he only prints what and when he wants. He avoids alot of town news that he fears will shut him out of the loop.

WOW , "Obviously" -.. are you a product of the Stoughton School system ? I'm guessing you skipped english & grammar for twelve years ! It is a constant challenge defending and carrying any sort of pride for this town, of which I have been a resident of for some 44 years. It is still MY town, but also a declining one, with Town official corruption and "Idiocracy " .( This is nothing new , either.) From overlooked immigrant housing violations, to ripping-off Fire Department employees to thug Police tactics, We are a statewide joke . It's a " Frican " shame and embarrassment , and the beat goes on ....

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Aries

There are mixed messages flying around in the ether today, so be wary about drawing any concrete conclusions from what happens now. Even though you don't realize it, you may be misreading the signs that someone is sending out, which will lead to complications later on. Be especially careful about indulging in romantic daydreams and then believing them.
