PriceRite supermarket coming to Pigtown

PriceRite discount supermarket is expected to open a 39,000-square-foot store in West Baltimore by the end of the year, according to the owner of the Mount Clare Junction shopping plaza.

I've been the hollins market!
they d not have plantains or fruit
other than apples and oranges.
the produce offered there It's very limited.

I really like the new market! It's brighter, cleaner and much friendlier
than the old scary Hollins Market!(where aggressive SoWeBoo drug dealers & beggars wait to pounce on customers without interference of security guards)
The variety of produce and the prices are fantastic,they sell
many hard to find ingredients to satisfy the changing grocery needs of the community due to
an influx of Asian, Latino & West African college students & immigrant families.
I like the Dollar Store, the Subway deli shop too!
To further enhance the Mount Clare area? I hope they will think seriously about putting a
Coffee Shop, a Pizza Boli's,or Papa Johns and a fitness center or YMCA in the Mount Clare strip mall next and perhaps a Pet Grooming Salon!

Forget all of the negative talk
from wealthy outsiders wishing for the
old glory days of cross street market
to serve Pigtown residents.
it is better for my family to have a
good supermarket in our community.

Cross Street has unlimited upscale
restaurants and business to help
raise that neighborhood up & make
it more liveable. They have a popular drug store
chain,and hardware stores, hookah bars,
pubs, sports bars, boutiques,shoe stores, every type of local
restaurants Tex mex and thai, french, cajun??

Why should anyone
begrudge Pigtown
from evolving with a new supermarket after years
of blight?
Why should We only get stuck with an outdated
Hollin's Market! There isn't even a good
Family style Pizza Hut or Chili's in this underdeveloped neglected area
of southwest Baltimore. I think some
elitist people just want to keep
decades of neglect and disparity going on in southwest Baltimore.
Outsiders want to to keep southwest Baltimore
unfriendly for families that actually work & live
there day to day!We may not be rich but We pay taxes in this city just like
everyone else & We want quality of life products and services, businesses in our neighborhood for our families like the Cross street market neighborhood!

I think They want to keep Pig Town like
drug infested decaying ghetto!
Only a few feeble fruit stalls
for the poor residents of MountClare!
because deep down they feel that
Pig Town does not deserve better.
