Ms. Wheeler's editorial comment was labeled "its time to curb Police Violence." I am not sure how her ranting about hanging nooses relate to Police violence. Maybe blacks and Latinos should stop committing the majority of crimes in urban cities. That way they won't have Police confrontation incidents. Oh, yea .... I know, the Police are always stopping blacks and Latinos because of their color and nationality.

I would like to comment on this comment that was posted by-Jeffry D. Mueller

his comment was-Was this assault a result of that hatred? And even if it was, hatred is a feeling, a thought that, however repugnant, is still, in America, beyond the reach of the law.

What you sir need to remember is that the thought of suicide is 'a feeling' just like hatred and yet the thought of, planning to or trying to act out suicide is illegal. My question to you is, do you still think 'hate' should still be thought of as 'just a feeling'? On a final note you as stated..."Adding "hate" to "crime" requires judge and jury to be mind readers, something they cannot do." Once again you sir are wrong ! Mind readers no but investagaters, doctors, clinical help can get into their minds and testify as to the state of the persons mind and the crime; wether hate or not hate.

thank you

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Police brutality - kids nowadays are hoping to get beat up, they can cry police brutality and some unscrupulous lawyer (is there any other kind?) can try to collect blood money from the police. And the naacp is useless. They should be focusing all their efforts towards cleaning up the neighborhoods and the hoods in them. Get parents to give a damn again.

To everyone who asks for a crackdown on police and their use of force I will have to ask you to please stop. Police have the toughest job in the world and risk their lives everyday to protect people who would rather kill them than follow a simple order to put their hands up or drop whatever they have concealed in their hands. The judgement of police officers is hands down higher than any of ours because they make life and death decisions in a split second often times leading to a mundane incident free arrest. Only when someone pushes the officer to use lethal force and the officer has to make the choice to fire their weapon that we hear everyone complain that they are nothing but Dirty Harrys out there killing everyone without fear of reprisal. It is these complaints that cause a fear of police and make people question their motives. To these people who complain about how the police act i say you should thank the next 100 officers you see that you can sleep comfortably at night.
