We have no record of anyone by that name we moved in NY. We are located in MD.She could have confused us with americaN van line. We are america van line.
If customer can provide more info. or call us we can maby resolve the issue(if we moved her at all)

No problem at all with this company. The estimate was exactly as I was given and they were very flexible and fast to deliver the service.

Great Company! I will definitely use them for all future moves. They were on time, professional, courteous and highly efficient. The estimate was exactly what I paid. I was very happy with their service!!!!

This is a bait-and-switch company. Also, we don't think they report all of their earnings since they ask for either cash of postal money orders for payment. Reps are nice when trying to gain your business, however, when they do, it's downhill from there. Initial furniture pick up was great, but then they don't drive out of state. They drive to the border of your state then transfer your belongings onto an 18-wheeler. That's when the trouble starts. They are nice people, however, not professional movers. Go elsewhere. Don't use American Van Lines. They don't tell you about all the extra cost of wrapping your furniture. Cost us an additional $600

I am a senior manager with America Van Line NOT AMERICAN VAN LINE(like the person states in this post) which is a broker form FL, which we have no connection with, and I want to make sure that the right company is addressed(we do not go to state line and transfer items to A tractor trailer. Everything is being done in our warehouse in MD.) I came across this post, and I am all ways concerned if there is a problem or issue with one of our valued customers moves. Our company moves over a thousand clients per year. If a customer has an issue, we are diligent with following up and attempting to resolve any issue that may arise. Our clients are asked to participate in our own in house customer survey program after each and every move. Senior Management reviews each and every survey, and promptly addresses any issues noted. We are a member of AMSA and are certified as AMSA pro mover. I addition we are a member of the BBB and in good standing. We are willing to discuss the posters concerns if they will contact our office at 1-866-363-7247. Without knowing the particular move referenced in this post, it is difficult to respond or comment. America Van Line has build over the last 5 years a solid reputation with our customers, and we stand by the quality of our work. We offer references from current clients to our potential clients.

We contracted with American Van Lines East from 9507 North Trask St., Tampa FL as our movers. Order# 374063. Everything that I stated in my post is true. Furthermore, we still have one box missing, and a box that was left with us that belongs to someone else. Initially, after the correct box count of 177 boxes, this was not discovered. However, after the movers left, we found that we had someone else's red-tagged box and one of ours was missing. I contacted Matt, our rep from Tampa, and he told me to call the driver, which I did (twice). The driver assured me that when they delivered the red-tagged boxes they would look for our blue-tagged box. That was 2 weeks ago and we haven't heard from him since. Additionally, many items were damaged and/or broken. Are you telling me that this company is masquerading as American Van Lines, but is not?

I am in the middle of a bad situation with this company. We are in the middle of a move from Maryland to Tennessee. When we made the call and checked and double checked with the rep on the date of delivery, we were assured that there would be no problem. We were packed up on a Thursday and were again told Monday was an acceptable delivery date. I saw no need to put aside anything other than clothes and medications. Obviously once they have your stuff, the story changes. They packed up our stuff almost 2 weeks ago. The end amount was $4000 over the estimate and then they left behind quite a few things. Our air compressor looked too much like a propane tank, even though all of the labels on it clearly state its an air compressor, so they left that behind... what propane tank do you know of that has an electrical plug? Luckily, our whole company headquarters is being relocated, so we were able to fit the stuff this company wouldn't move in a co-worker's truck, but it was ridiculous that we had to do that. The date of delivery came and went without a word from them. When we called, we were told that Steven would call us back. He never called back, we had to continually call until he was available. So far, we have been given 4 different dates of delivery. One date passes and then I'm told it will be another 3-5 days later. We have a small child, so we had to go out and buy air mattresses, sheets, blankets and pillows amongst other things just to live in this empty house and was offered $200 off the cost of the move. I have spent atleast double that just having to buy items to make it livable until our stuff gets here. I asked to talk to the GM who makes that decision and was told "he doesn't deal with clients". I have moved quite a few times and have never been treated the way I've been treated with this company. We really thought we were going through AmericaN Vanlines, not these guys. My opinion of this company so far is the sales reps are nice, but everyone else passes the buck when something goes wrong. When you actually ask to talk to someone in authority, those guys obviously do not talk to us lowly clients. There are about 40 more families still moving with the company in the next few months and I will be sure to send out an e-mail warning them of these guys. They missed out on A LOT of business. I konw mistakes happen, but its how a company handles those mistakes that shows who they really are. We are the only family without our stuff. Everyone who went with a different company than us got their stuff 2-3 days after they were packed. I don't know what to do, I'm wondering if we will ever get our stuff... any suggestions from anyone else having dealt with these guys?

Got a whole $300 off the move... big deal. When the truck finally showed up, it was a totally different company, not America Van lines. They don't even have their own trucks! The base of our tv was sheared off and the packers just threw our printer/copy machine combo in a box on top of our DVD player with no packing material, so both are broken. When they packed my dishes, they would put 2-3 plate together with bubble wrap around them, but no paper between the plates, causing some to break. Two out of our 3 bookcases were destroyed and 3 pieces of wood furniture were damaged. There were so many things wrong with this move, it has actually caused us to never want to go through a moving company ever again. We will be moving ourselves in the future. Using this company was more stressful than doing it ourselves. Horrible, horrible experience. Glad its over.

Knowledgable Rep, Sheldon Sankar, on phone. Knew answers to all questions I asked. Website also helpful. Crew on time and courteous. They really cared about my stuff, wrapped the furniture in blankets etc. Good at packing truck. Off-loaded so fast, I could not believe it. Only damages, One dish broke, and that's okay, I didnt like it anyway. Back in the day as a military wife, I did 8 moves in 13 years. These guys were great, and come with all my recommendations.

Let's face it. This company sucks. Look at the reviews all over the web. David, how many titles? Owner, senior Manager, GM, are you all in one?

David, so much of your time seems to be being spent on defending your company. Most good companies don't have to do that? I can't figure out your title...reading the negative posts all over the web you list yourself at the owner, GM, senior manager. I guess the owner is all of those. Hey, in one post I just read you say nothing but positive things but don't share you are owner?

I am a little lost on which company all of you have complaints with. David is with America Van Lines, not AmericaN Van lines, which is also another moving company. They are not one in the same; they are completely separate identities. Also, there is North America Van Lines as well.

Now that I have cleared the fact that there are a few America/n/north companies out there, which one are you complaining about?

Thank you!

There's a lot of negative reviews for this moving company, so in the name of fairness I would like to tell you about my experience with this company. I hired this company without looking at the reviews first. After I had already paid my deposit, I saw how many terrible reviews this company had and actually tried to cancel my contract. However, Matthew - my moving agent - convinced to stick with the company. The night before my move, the Mover called me to inform me he would be there at 9 am. The next morning he was there at 8:50am. The movers had everything packed and loaded in less than 3 hours. Then I met the movers in Pittsburgh 4 hours later where they delivered everything the very same day! They had everything unloaded and placed right where I wanted it in less than 2 hours. They charged me a flat rate that they had quoted me originally, despite the fact I had forgotten to add a few more things to my moving list. They didn't even charge me extra for the 3 flights of stairs they had to haul my stuff up to my new apartment. The movers were very friendly and prompt! The next time I move, I will definitely be using this Moving Company!

MBM Movers, an affiliate is awful. They damaged our furniture and would not honor our claim. We involved the Better Business Bureau, who was very helpful, and we have been repeatedly lied to about an impending settlement. This all happened in early July. Here is almost the 1st of the year - and nothing.

the Claim Dep with american van line in Owings Mills never response to my claims even I have followed their instruction and sent pictures of minor damages for over a month; do not believe they said there is $5000 included with the moving cost.
