According to my children who attend Los Fresnos Highschool there was a Kid named Ciro GonZALEZ sick with the Swine flu virus his sister who attends one of the elementary schools of los fresnos also has the virus. I want to know if cases like this are not being reported to parents and why are the schools still open.

Bertha!

All this is he said, I heard, etc. Superintendent of School sent out a report stating that as of Sunday, May 2nd there was ZERO cases reported. This information was gotten from the Health Dept. I am more then sure that the District would not keep this to themselves in case there was a student infected in the district. All the district does is in the BEST INTEREST OF THE STUDENTS & COMMUNITY!

There have been many, many suspected cases (positive influenza) but the state is so far behind in testing for probable cases that those who are ill will be totally recovered before any confirmations are completed! They should have closed the Los Fresnos schools already. Lots of kids are sick and more will get sick. Although it is so far a rather mild type of flu, lots of people and kids are sick!!

For those PARENTS whose children have tested positive for Influenza A as you claim need to keep their children home! There was a decline of attendance at the district (LFCISD) for the past couple of days. So parents are concern that we are not given the full report. But according to the CDC whenever someone comes out positive; health facilities are to immediately inform the Health Dept in turn they notify the district. Is this happening or are they keepin all this on a down low! I spoke to a couple of teachers from the district about the comments in the article about Having a Group (committee) in place and knew what has to be done immediately! Well little did I know that the Administrators just met the week-how funny if they lie about that-more then sure they are not keeping the community informed either!!! Yes, posting came out on the district's webpage about the Swine flu but just yesterday/today. So what if anything is really happening!!!

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Pisces

Mercury's retro phase in Capricorn will raise questions in your mind about a friend or loved one during the next two weeks. You might wonder what they're playing at and have to ask them to be straight with you, or you could work hard at overcoming the current problems between you so you're able to enter a much more positive phase in your relationship.
