Police give $20,000 dollars but they don't want anything in return? Just doing it to protect people? SURE.....
Best case against Penman is a picture of him taking the $20,000 grand to protect his job (READ UNION PAY).
Legal bribery!

Do you mean to tell me that you are conducting an investigation over this matter. O Pleeese! I oppose Measure C because we would have more stupid investigations exactly like this because stupid people would appoint their stupid people friends to office. Now, this is a good example of why people need to vote no on Measure C.

GREAT! Can this city afford to hire outside personnel for an internal investigation. We all know Penman is a creep and should just go away but so should the mayor and city council. Not to mention Kilmer will just use this as his excuse to leave the city. It is no surprise he wants out and this whole Penman situation is the perfect excuse. Kilmer didn't know what he was getting into coming to San Bernardino and by that I mean the BS at the PD and with the city council, etc. He checked out months ago....does he even go to the station anymore....

Wow I am embarassed to be call myself a San Bernardino Police Officer. Chief Kilmer grow a set and quit playing this political game. The last time I checked you were a cop. Arrest Penman or let it go. You are making this issue with Penman personal and that is the last thing you should do. What kind of a chief are you? If you want to leave then take your tonka truck and run like the rest. Im sure Mike Billdt is looking for a job. Maybe he can squeeze some more tax payer money from this city.
Mayor Morris you are an embarassment and should resign. Your wife giving $10,000.00 to Measure c demonstrates your attachment to beating this. This is as bad as the scam with your son working at city hall for free. Measure c is dead. Live with it. You will never get citizens of any community to give away their right to vote. If we want Penman out then we will vote him out just like we will vote you and the other clowns out. How dare you even ask us to give up our rights to vote. Shame on you. Mayor you have bigger problems. God forbid if the Department of Justice decides to do an investigation on City Hall. Look at Guiterrez in the paper and picture your face on the front page. The jig is up.

The POA should keep out of city politics as well. You talk about Mayor Morris' wife giving money to the Yes on C cause yet your own POA donated double that amount. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

I feel your pain.
If my POA did what yours did (see today's paper, quoted below), I'd be embarrassed too!
From today's SB Sun:
Another disclosure showed the San Bernardino Police Officers Association PAC spent $20,000 on independent expenditures opposing Measure C. All but $1,000 of that amount paid for mailers.

How is an investigation of Penman a 'personnel' investigation. He is not 'personnel'. He is an elected official, just like Mayor Pat. These two offices give us checks and balances and they will always clash. Been that way forever in San Bernardino, and that's the way it is with charter cities. Get over it.

Even though he's 'elected', he becomes city 'personnel'. All of the elected have retirement and health insurance through the city. In that aspect they are like any other employee.
With California state laws he has to be afforded the same rights as normal employees thus the investigation.

What investigation? Penman has no rights. This is another "get Penman" witch hunt. Measure C has gone down so they are getting ready to waste another $150,000 of our money hoping to use it to nail Penman in next year's elections. They don't understand that their loss on Measure C has already upped Penman's political strength and may be enough to get him elected again.

This whole "investigation" thing is a joke. McNeely hires a law firm to investigate Penman? Lawyers aren't investigators, they are mouth pieces for the people who hire them. Just have the Council vote to censure Penman now for not sucking up to the Mayor and get it over with and save the money. The "investigation" will find he was wrong and the results will be another ho hum to the rest of us. How many times has Penman been investigated now? He gets cleared by every outside investigation and found guilty by every interal investigation.

I doubt he even breaks a sweat over it anymore. Only the Morris lovers buy into this junk. Keep an eye on how much money this "investigation" costs. The last time the Council did one on Penman it cost over $100,000. That "investigation" found him in the wrong, then the State Bar investigated the same thing and cleared him. No reliability to these "internal investigations." Just another way to waste our money in a long line of failed attempts to get rid of Penman because he won't kow tow to the powers that wanna be.

It seemed as Penman after his illness earlier this year was calmer when he came back. However he is right back in the game ready to attack anyone who gets in his way!

Penman is scraping the bottom of the barrel looking for help and you know it Wendy. Whether Measure C passes or not Penman has lost all credibility that he could have claimed prior to his new additions.
You can say whatever you want but you know that I am right about this.

Who's running against Wendy McCammack in the next election?

I want people in these positions who don't resort to games that have nothing to do with making the lives of the citizens of San Bernardino better.

I am not a fan of Mr. Penman, but the Mayor Pat Morris is just a useless. Mr Morris was not my choice for Mayor, but he won by the peoples vote. So, Pat since you do not get along with Penman, you wanted us citizen to give up are vote. Look what happen in the city of Bell, when the citizens gave up their vote. What I see is a power hungry Mayor who thinks he is better then the people of San Bernardino. Vote NO on C and show the Mayor that he works for you and we the citizens decide who gets in office. Vote NO on C

What is Wendy McCammack doing about the low income apartments on 30th street and Leroy (Northbrook). They wants over 6 million dollars from taxpayers to rehab and make low income. I thought they already were low income. Drive by and see all of the cars parked on the streets next to the apartments, you can't even drive by with all of the cars and kids playing in the street. Why would t he city give 6 million dollars to any apartment owners, but especially during these hard economic times. San Bernardino City Council should be ashamed if they vote Yes on Monday Nov 1, 2010 on this. Isn't the city already full of low income housing and apartments? YES! STOP THIS WASTE CALL YOU CITY COUNCIL AND THE MAYOR

San Bernardino Watcher -It hasn't even been a year yet and already no recall of the $5,000.00 Fair Political Practices fine -even though it has been mentioned in SB Sun during these elections?
Really?
What a crock!
Penman is as crooked as the day is long - and his Penions come out at dark to pollute our city with the flyers we refuse to accept by any means - so, they plaster them on our cars while we're inside, attending meetings, etc -
