Neocons want government to endorse hard-line christian religion and shove it down your throat. Neocons want the upper class to leech off of the masses. Neocons want to restrict the press. Neocons want to destroy our constitutional freedoms to give police more power. Neocons believe in imperialism. We don't need the fourth reich here in the US. We are taking back our country from the fascists with this next election.

Why is it that just because McCain spent time as a POW(which is horrible, don't get me wrong)that he is now an expert on the military? As far as I know, he has never been in charge of troops, strategy, or any other such position. Like many others, he has become wealthy and powerful through is cushy position in the Senate. When violence is now escalating once again, how is it that Iraq is better off? I also find it amusing that supporters of this war are just aghast at any mistreatment of our soldiers, but think it's fine if we torture others. Aren't we supposed to be setting an example? Oh, yes, apparently we are--and the 'enemy' is just following suit.

Iraq was probably better off with Saddam. As of october 2006, Bush had already killed at least 655,000 Iraqis. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/...
Who knows how many more he has killed since then. Bush has killed many more iraqis than Saddam ever did. Iraq lost a bad dictator and gained a worse one. Bush's attempts to set up a puppet gov't in Iraq have failed miserably.
It's been 5 years and the WMD's still haven't been found, which makes sense because they never existed.
Juan McCain says we are "succeeding" there. The only thing we are succeeding at there is losing tons of money fast and losing the respect of the rest of the world.
Libtards believe EVERYthing from The Washington Post..amazing..655,000 my ass..read on kool-aid drinkers!

Elisabeth-

One does not become wealthy by being elected a senator. One becomes wealthy by marrying the daughter of the third largest Budweiser distributor in the country. One of the rare occasions when the man married up. Way to go John!

Are you sure, I am a Conservative and do not believe in what your definition is defining. You need to take the blinders off and get to know us a little bit better.

Hey little boy , you think you such a know it all . Why don't you spend some time in the arab section of GR or better yet go spend some time in Detroit . I am sure those towel heads would love to see you cross dressing fat a$s . You are probably one of those towel bearing freaks that are happy about 9/11. Another example of a Qu'ran reading scab

Seriously, why are people still trying to mesh Iraq with 9/11 when even Bush said Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11? If we were going to attack any country connected to 9/11 it should have been Saudi Arabia. But oh no, that would mean going to war with Bush family friends plus causing problems with the price of oil. Ooops...

Interesting that a bunch of people with no knowledge assume McCain is lying, and then assume that the liberal media is telling the truth. Why do you think that the liberal media has not been saying much about Iraq, because most of them will admit that the war is going a lot better and that is not something they want to put on the news.

Iraq is a stomping ground for Al-Qaeda,Hezbollah,and Hamas! Our allies are stuck in the middle(Israel)

We stopped Sodomy Hussein from blowing-up oil fields.

You may need to read a little more about oil prices.

Do you think Hillary,or Hussein Obama can CONTROL oil prices?

The 'arab' section of GR?? Where, exactly, would that be? Maybe at the Pita House in East Town? I have spent much time there, and they are lovely, kind people--who make a tasty gyro!

Let's get back to McCain. I do agree with him when he talks about the control of VA medical facilities being taken out of the hands of the Veterans' Administration. They need to stay in control and see to it that our veterans receive proper care.

McCain needs to put a whole lot of distance between himself and anything having to do with Bush in a big hurry. His position on the VA is a step in the right direction but think about who he'd have in charge of the VA...Pentagon, NIH, perhaps USDA ? It's a bad joke.

McCain did more than just spend time as a POW, do some research you small minded POS. Graduated from the United States Naval Academy and spent 23 years in the navy after graduation. McCain retired from the Navy on April 1, 1981 as a captain, and was the Navy's liaison to the U.S. Senate. His military awards include the Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Distinguished Flying Cross. McCain has been a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee since 1982. So yes he has been "in charge of troops, strategy, or any other such position." McCain supported the troop surge from the very begining and this strategy has proven to work. McCain has been to Iraq 8 times since the start of the war. McCain has two sons in the military, and they have both been deployed to Iraq. So who are we to believe John McCain or some liberal nutjob that has never been in the military, never been involved with the military and has never been to Iraq?

If the best McCain can do is offer us 4 more years of Bush policies, then he can't be too bright and his military views are outdated. America deserves better. McCain will lose in November by a landslide.

Our VA Clinic and Veteran's Home here in Grand Rapids is run wonderfully. The patients all receive good care and are taken care of.

I have been a volunteer regularly at the Veteran's Home and have seen, first hand, how this place is run. My husband gets some medical care at the clinic, and we have never seen anything that leads us to believe that our veterans are not happy with this facility.

I'd like to see it stay that way. I, personally, don't want to see change in these areas.

Did that hurt when the liberals spoon fed you that information? Check McCains record and listen to what he is saying, he is certainly far different than Bush. We will see in November who wins but get real it WON'T be McCain loosing by a landslide.
