I did not know this kid but I live very close to the accident site. I pass it daily to drop my daughter off, and pick her up from school. I am truly saddened by this. I feel horrible that his life was so tragic that he felt ending it was the only way out. I pray that God helps his family and friends through this most difficult time. Kyle, may you rest in peace.

I live in Victorville, and many cars are passing by. I can't seem to understand how someone couldn't see the guy climbing the fence and getting ready to jump. Maybe all he needed was a few words to stop him or someone to pull him off. It upsets me that this could have been prevented. If you're driving on over a bridge and see someone about to commit suicide... don't keep driving.

Suicide is for the WEAK!!! I don't care how bad life is no one should resort to jumping off a bridge. I have been driving down bear valley everyday seeing kids doing car washes for what? Some kid who felt jumping off a bridge was easier then coping with life? What statement was he trying to make? Let me tell you I have lived one of the hardest lives any kid could live and still do. Being 27 years old I have never resorted to jumping off a brige to end my problems or even commiting suicide for that matter. I personally Don't feel sorry for him nor should anyone else. All this guy did was endanger other peoples lives and cause a 6 hour traffic jam for his stupidity. Suicide is a sin obviously people don't think about that the second they want to jump off a bridge.
Let me tell you if he jumped off that bridge and landed on my wifes car with my newborn baby in it I would have been one pissed son of a bitch. Moral of the story another person leaves this world thinking of them selfs!!
I am disgusted that someone can say that. Family members are reading are reading all of these comments and they see this. If I knew this person I would be so upset reading this. It's hard enough as it is for them, why make them feel worse, yes you are entitled to your opinion, why don't you write an essay not post a comment where a suicide victim's family can read it. If you don't know what the person has gone through don't judge.

I didn't know Kyle or anyone from his family but I am so touched by this sad story. I've read all the comments and though some are hurtful, I guess everyone has an opinion. I really wish that he did not resort to such circumstances no matter what he was going through. I read a comment that stated because he was so young he shouldn't of had any problems. I totally disagree. I am 21 as well and I came out of a horrible stage of post partum depression and I still can't believe I came out of it alive. I was ready to end it all so many times but I knew I couldn't do that to my family. That was just 6 months ago. So for someone to say that he was to young to have felt that way, your wrong! It can happen to anyone. I thank god I came through it and faught my internal demons with no meds or anything. I just truly wish he would have thought more about it. I wish he was still here. I'm so sorry to the family. Rest in peace sweet Kyle!!!

HDMomma & Arianathegreat1,
Thank you for you is no light thing about suicide. The younger you are...the less you see to live for. As for Kyle, his mother left him as a young child, then his father gave gaurdianship of him, to his grandmother and uncle. When he was a teen-ager, his uncle left the family and another uncle stepped in to help his grandmother raise him; and then his grandmother left for awhile. With all that going on and him feeling that all these people left him because it was his fault...he still turned out to be a wonderful boy and young teenager. I remember in middle school, he was on the track and feild team and had wonderful grades. However, once his unce left him and then his grandmoter...I don't know what he was feeling, but it was very hard. His uncle is my brother and I was there when he told poor Kyle that he was leaving the home (This is who had been his father figure, for 10+ years.) Kyle was in tears and saying, "just like my dad did". My heart hurts everytime I remember that night and Kyle was just broken. So, when a person wonders how a young person could do this, I am sure he must have felt like there was no other way and that there weren't people left, who cared if he were alive or not. Obviously, that type of thinking comes from those who are very depressed and I wish someone had seen that ahead of time and gotten him some help, but at this point, I hope every parent with a child, will put their definiton of depression aside and their thoughts of their children would never do this and realize that some times teenagers hurt and will not tell you until it is too late. Watch for the change in friends, lonliness, wanting to stay in their rooms all the time, not wanting to eat etc. Basically, if you notice any changes in your children, talk with thier teachers, school counselor, youth pastor, counselor...anyone that the child would be comfortable with. Childhood suicide is real and in hig numbers.

Kyle is my cousin I can only remember as I child when he lived back here in Hawaii. It was a shocking news for me to have heard of his passing. It saddens me with greatness for the lost my family is going through. I cannot imagine what he was going through and the pain he felt internally to end his life so tragic and suddenly. I am truly sorry and hope God embraces strength, peace, and forgiveness in all your hearts to let Kyle rest in peace. I love you guys, Aunty Monica, Milton and Frank. God Bless and Watch over You All.

I am not sure who your brother is that left Kyle, but although my Aunty (his grandmother) moved away for awhile it does not mean she didn't love him or cared for him. He was her life and she as well as Milton would have done everything and anything for him. Kyle was never forgotten by them AND he will truly be missed. So if it's anyone who left him, it was he's mom whoever the hell she is. How can you give life to someone and not be there to nurture and care and love unconditionally. That is what saddens me deeply.

Hawaii808-I agree with everything you just wrote. I don't want you to misunderstand what I was trying to say...I know that all the adults in Kyles life, loved him greatly and would have done anything to help him. I just felt that I needed to post how Kyle felt, at least a few times in his life, for those who have posted and said they did not understand how a young person could do this and the post that said, "because he was so young he shouldn't of had any problems." Young people can have serious problems.

I just wanted you to know that I know that Milton & Monica were the 2 who loved him the most and were always there for Kyle. I am aware of that and would never deny their love for him. Unfortunately, I know from experience, teens/young adults do not always open up to those who love them the most and they often see & feel things differently than the adults do.

I will keep you and your family in my prayers and hope your lives get to feeling better soon.

I truly wish i was driving and have seen him. Its unusual enough seeing someone climb a fence at rush hour to stop. None of us did at that precise moment life ended. Be compassionate to this family and keep your hurtful comments to yourself. My condolences to the Family and Kyles friends. I am sure he was loved.

Kyle was a good of mine and we once all lived together in hollywood, me charlie josh and kyle. It was josh's pad and everyone was from victorville except me. Kyle always was down and had my back. I remember we used to all get drunk and go out and mack girls. He would say im Hawaiian and show them his tattoo of the islands and girls would literally like him all of a sudden. Charlie and kyle had to go back to victorville bec they couldnt find jobs. They all said how much they hated victorville and how lame it was. Kyle was a good person and had a good heart. RIP

Really, without God there is no hope? Being led by a false belief saves you? Maybe from going insane because you can't handle the fact that we all just rot or get burned up and go nowhere - it's just over. Darkness and nothing but not even that because there is no consciousness. Anywho, I don't believe in God and I have plenty of hope, love, family and wonderful things in my life. I created what I have by my CHOICES. We all have choices and some people are just not able to make good ones and they suffer for it but blame others.
