I'm really farmiliar with that area- there is not very much trafic anywhere near that intersection late at night. My guess, be it an unfounded one, is that he was dumped. I think there must be some kind of foul play involved.
.
I dont think he was dumped as the police found parts of the car debris at the scene of the hit and run

So he was at a pool party, got into an argument with other people at the party and decided to leave. As someone else here mentioned, there isn't much traffic in that area at that time of the morning. Pure specultaion here, but it's possible that either someone who was drunk at that party hit him, or the people he had an argument with, decided to mow him down. It's happened many times in the past, so either senario is possible. People are jacked up now a days, so it's not unthinkable. I would be questioning people at the party really well....

THERE ARE CAMERAS LEAVING THE AREA WHERE THE POOL PARTY WAS. I AM SURE IF THE SUSPECT LEFT THE PARTY THEN HIT THE VICTIM THE CAMERAS WILL SHOW THE SUSPECT VEHICLE LEAVING. SOMEONE KNOWS SOMETHING AND NEEDS TO MAN UP AND COME FORWARD.

So So Sad. Here is an innocent young man who was taken away from his family. Hopefully, he didn't suffer; I can't imagine someone placing harm to another person and not stopping to help. All of us have family, how would you feel if something happened to one of your love ones and no took the time to assist? What if, you did the right thing, called the police and was able to save his life? Since you didn't I hope you will do the right thing now and come forward. Remember, this young man had a family and friends who loved him dearly. Put yourself in that families shoes. Don't you think your family would like to know the truth? You will probably not be able to live a happy life if you do not do the right thing.

Im so shocked that this happened I grew up with Matthew! he was such a nice and caring person always willing to help out another. Pray for the family, especially the mom. She has done a great job raising such a wonderful son. Everybody needs to stop worrying about why he was walking so late and think about what really matters. stop focusing on that the time says P.M. you all know it meant A.M so stop! I know that the family is confused and hurt but everything happens for a reason and God is watching over you. <3 Rest In Peace Matthew we love you and our praying everyday!
PS: whoever hit him you should really turn yourself in, its just going to hurt you in the long run!!

It;s sad that people can be so heartless, to hit someone, then leave them lying in a street. The morals of people today, are quite sickening. Anybody, who had decent parents, could never hit someone, then leave them lying in a street. Don't know if it was a youth, or an older person, but where have are morals gone? This generation is sad. It's the "me" generation today, that could care less about anybody else, and NO morals at all. People need to go back to being civilized and caring, and be accountable for their actions...too bad our society today pushes all this MTV\jackass\ UFC crap, of being tough, or gangsta, and shallow, not giving a rats ass about life, or feelings of others.....

Why are there so many concerned with; why was he out late, why was he in the street, why this, why that? For all who are stuck on these questions I ask you; if this was your brother, son, daughter, or friend would those be the type of questions you'd be concerned with? Why don't you think about the poor family members whom are dealing with this, perhaps turning to this comment blog for any clues/answers and are having to read idoitic postings like that.

My heart goes out to the family and especially the mother. I could not imagine what you're going through. Someone posted that there's cameras somewhere that may've caught the hit & run or offer a clue. As awful as this is to think of, perhaps there's some damage to the car w/ evidence that can be investigated.

I have a 16yr old son and could not even imagine something like this happening. It would kill me.

May God or whatever/whomever comforts you help you through this time. My prayers go out to you.

IS THIS A GHOST PAGE? The guy is still talking to his friends today...Get your facts straight before posting your "neat" links.
Maybe if you had read a little further, like four messages above the one you posted, you would have seen that
Very Sad had quickly posted a correction and noted that it was the wrong person. But then you were too busy thinking up your little complaint to notice it I guess.

Thank you all whom have sent prayers to and for us, his family. Thank you for your compassion, love and friendship. Matt's legacy lives on here and in a much more peaceful place.
To those responsible or those who may know those responsible and think you are being a friend by your code of silence or kept secrets, we pray for you all. We all have to look at ourselves alone in the mirror each morning and at some point, maybe not today, tomorrow or next week but someday you will need to relieve yourself of the burden. Hopefully before you start your family someday and carry this ugly secret with you to others who are innocent.
May God bless us all.

My heart aches for you, matt's family. The pain of losing a child is unlike any other, I lost my mom to cancer 3 1/2 years ago and my grandmother still spends almost every day reminicing and grieving my mom, her daughter. I miss her everyday, but I am not consumed by losing her, though it will always hurt. no parent ever expects to bury their child.
It's not like matt was dying of cancer or anything, his life was snatched away from him and there was no chance for anyone to say goodbye, tell him they love him one last time, or savor the moments they had with him. HARSH.
I hope that whoever did this will find the courage to come forward and face the family of the man who's life they took, hopefully by accident and not maliciousness. If it was an accident, it feels like it's making it more malicious by NOT coming forward now. it's cowardice and cold. I pray for you and your guilt and hope God comforts you and helps your heart find the way to do the right thing. I can't imagine how scared you must be, but consider the family who lost their son, their brother, and the people around him that now have a void in their hearts.
Matt was a friend of friends, and I pray for you his family and loved ones. Hold on to one another during this crucial time, remember the good times with matt.....it seems like many of the best people on the earth are taken much to fast.
God Bless. Rachel B
