I am writing this at 10:28am. Today is the 24th, so how is it that he got hit at 12:20 this morning and died at 1:43pm. Its no where near 1:43pm.

This may shock you but, I believe there is quite possibly a typo in the report.

It's no big deal that there might be a typo error that says p instead of a. Nobody pays for this online edition, it's free. Read the story by the same reporter or writer in the newspaper edition and it will most likely be correct. The online edition was never meant to be substitute for the hard copy. What you read here is not the exact copy of what the official article will be.

What's really important is that a young man died tragically. Why he was out at a little past midnight is not important. Perhaps he was walking home from visiting a friend.

It never fails, we get this online edition of the Daily Bulletin for free. A valuable service for many of us who live out of state and want to keep up with what's happening in Southern California, specifically the Pomona Valley area. Yet whenever there is a simple typo someone always jumps in to criticize. If we were paying for it, there might be a reason to complain. But it's free! Even with it's faults it's worth much more than not having it. I'm not sure what's more sad, someone making a typo mistake, or someone making a big fuss over it.

My question would be why was he out so late, and why was he in the middle of the street?

Condolences to the family

Whenever someone crosses a street, at some point they are in the middle. It doesn't mean he was standing in the middle of the street. It just means that he was probably crossing the street, and when he was hit his body landed in the middle. He may have walked over to a friends house and was walking home when he was hit by a car.

Ummmm, when I was 20 years old I was out at hours much different than now. Being out at 12:30 a.m. is not so unusual for a 20 year old young man. Walking across a street isn't too unusual either. People don't always drive, especially if they're going somewhere only a block or two away.

Instead of questioning why he walked across a street at 12:30 a.m. it would be better to question why someone hit him and didn't stop to help him or call for paramedics.

Assuming that your isp location is the same as where you live, you have a lot of nerve calling here "the arm pit" of So.cal. Seeing how you have 103,000 LESS people than here, yet have more crime, and more negros...Now who lives in a "arm pit"?

Sorry, apparently that's the wrong Brian Ramirez Myspace page. Seems there are about three people by the name of Brian Ramirez in Rancho Cucamonga. And at least two of them are 20 years old.

Also, the term "anyways" is not a word. It might have been correct if you had said "anyway". But in the next sentence it was poor structuring to use the word "correctly" twice. There was no need for the second "correctly" to be there. Remove the second "correctly" and the sentence is much better and easier to understand.

Probably not your fault though. I've always heard that Hell has a poor school system.

I'm really farmiliar with that area- there is not very much trafic anywhere near that intersection late at night. My guess, be it an unfounded one, is that he was dumped. I think there must be some kind of foul play involved.
It it a tragedy one way or the other.
P.S. Just goes to show it's not safe to walk alone late at night, even for men in affluent neighborhoods. The freaks come out at night.

This boy was the best fiend of my daughter. We have known him for many years. He was a good kid who was killed! He is almost 21 and has the right to be out as late as he wants. I know for a fact this wasn't an accident (obviously the person left him there). My heart goes out to his mother because he was the light of her life. She is a single parent and she had such high hopes for him, as we did, like all mothers do for their sons. I have a son and my biggest fear is now this mothers reality....My heart aches for all who loved him!!!!!
