Hey Veronica
I am glad this loser got caught. Hold on tight to that purse. I really really hope she gets tons of time in jail. We will go visit her and bring her some ex-lax brownies. Her parents must be so proud. |

This looks like the same lady that was returning products for cash at TJ Maxx in Fair Oaks. They were actually giving her cash for items she didn't even have a receipt for. She returned 6 or 7 items on Saturday.

Speaking of "Veronica".... When is the last time, "Just Me", you left your purse in your car?(It doesn't say WHERE she left her purse, but I'm assuming the mall.) "Mergeman"? How about you? Whens the last time you left your purse?:{) |

Wait, if she claims she is an illegal alien, she can get a driver's license, medical care, and section 8, along with food stamps. Then go to Bank of America to get a credit card.
Why is she just returning merchandise? You don't need multiple personalities for that. |

Doesnt' purse have to do with horseracing?

Anything over 1st offense should have a minimum 20yr jail sentence mandatory. LAWMAKERS PLEASE TAKE NOTE!

I am her husband, for reals. It was great to hear about this idiot getting caught.
Veronica was getting ready to leave the house, walking in and out of the open garage. The purse was in the passenger seat. Once when she came out, the passenger side door was open, but she thought nothing of it till she could not find her purse. So what we figured is that she was biking around looking for targets of opportunity, found our garage open, and took a quick chance to snatch her purse from our garage. |

I.D. theft is such a horrible problem, my bother went thru so much when his infor was stolen and used wrongly, he had a medical bill of 20,000 in Las Vegas. It took years to clear his name of many infractions and multiple trips. The laws are not desing to protect our identity once in stolen you'll never really have peace. Even afer conviction I've seen cases where people go right back to using the identity they stole. Its horrible I really wish the laws change.

Wow, Looken... I know leaving the purse in the car is not the smartest idea, but it still doesn't give anyone the right to steal it! I, myself, am way too trusting. I sometimes carry a small purse in my big purse and when I go shopping, take the small one in, and leave the larger one in the car.. Usually I would leave it on the floor and cover it, or put it in the trunk, and of course lock the doors. Sometimes in the mornings I grab my wallet out, hit the doorlock, and run in and get a cup of coffee. I guess it's pretty stupid, and this article opens my eyes to be more careful. Hopefully more people will come to the same conclusion... However; to insinuate that the blame be put on the "victim" because she left her purse in the car, and not blame the person doing the stealing and identity theft is totally misplaced.

I don't believe anyone wants to blame Veronica, here, Dear. She assumed that, as the car was in her garage, that the purse was as safe as it would have been in her front hall. And, it should have been. There is/was no excuse for anyone to invade her household, like that. Nor an excuse to misuse another's identity. I, personally, carry a handbag with a very long strap. I was a fan of the original "Star Trek" as a kid, and got in the habit, in HS, of carrying my handbag in the manner of their' tricorders. That habit came in handy when our kids were little. I still had hands free for the kids!! You're right, though. Most of us take the essential precautions with our mail and checks, we're just not always as careful with our personal possessions, so close to home. Blessings on you and yours, Dear, and thank you for sharing. It's a sad thing, that one must be so cautious, at home. |

When will ID theft be taken seriously. Hope this woman finally gets the prison time she deserves.

I left my purse in my car in RC once on accident. I was very happy to see it there the next morning. There was some lady on craigslist a few months ago complaining because somebody stole her purse out of her car while she was eating at Logans Roadhouse on Sunrise. STUPID yes, but ID theft sucks. |

Looken: Bet Mergeman will owe it to you forever, before he ever cheats you out of it. LOL

Gee. I just read dozens of comments on this website saying that only sex offenders re-offend, so much so that they should be "executed", denied a place to live, etc. Looks like recidivism happens in other areas of crime too, people. So now should this lady be banned from living within 2000 feet of a purse or a store?
Just something to think about. |

Kim Vo is an addict and that is the real problem here. She is addicted to METH and do you think she is the only one?? She lives and associates with ADDICTS. I hope she pays for her crime but I also hope they give her treatment because that is the real issue. GOD IS THE ONLY PERSON THAT CAN JUDGE. So please pray for her and her victim. NONE OF US ARE PERFECT!!

glad they got her. my wife was a victim of this last week. these people need to get caught and locked up till they reach the age of 80 because thats how long victims of ID theft will have to deal with this.
