If the Sergeant was wrong then he would be the one fired and olis could say that he was only following orders. I do think Solis should maybe have just been written up but I am not the city manager. The "riot" is still going and the citizens are suffering. It is sad but politics are cruel part of life. The report is that Solis was drinking on duty at the party. Alcohol was smelt on his breath. If he was doing his job he would have cleared the street for "public safety" as he says instead of closing it down. They had no permit and it is a public street. Officer tamez was there with another officer from Freer that he had in his patrol car all day. He was stopping at all the Bobby Vega campaign sites. Later the Freer officer was wearing a Vega shirt and Tamez drinking at his celebration. Tamez was not on duty but he should stay out of politics like Solis so this is what happens. If arrest are made so be it but everyone was at fault. Bobby Vega hid in a truck in th Wells Fargo parking lot while the police all arived and had to sort out the mess. What a great Mayor he will be.
