male kickball coach???

Small town Alice,Texas -alot of parents very upset about one male coach who also is a mailman. He video tapes the games even though he has no one involved in the other teams to record.We dont know what he does with these tapes we have found out that he did put them on you tube with no permission of parents or the girls,coaches in these teams. These children find him very scary,weird.Its not just one team its every team that he competes with,so is he studing the tapes to cheat in games or is he just plain dirty??????No one will ever know??????? This is y something sould have been done to prevent this from happening....from the angry parents in Alice,Texas

I have seen him tapeing and how strange it is that since he started coaching his teams have improved. There is no law or by-law in the ALMK league that prevents parents or anyone from taking pics or video tapeing. As for posting on You tube, ask him why he did it. I could assume that most of the team members spend alot of time on the computer and use it as a form of study to get an advantage over another team, but this is just an assumption just as your is. On the other hand why don't you coach! It is easy to sit and look for the wrong but couldn't you just offer your help instead of jeapordizing what little help the big league has??? Don't trash something you can't help clean up!!!!!

I as a corpus christi volunteer understand your reasoning that there is nothing in the bylaws against videotaping. But what is the ethics in videotaping youth games that your children are not involved in. I understand and accept that in high school level sports and up that scouting occurs. This is because its a formal level of competition. We are talking about a youth league here. Isn't this taking it a little too far. How does a corpus christi volunteer have the time to read up on the bylaws of an Alice league. Do you have the time to read the bylaws from this city league? Take an ethics class if you have this much time. I also read on the player's registeration form(from their website) that there is waiver for videotaping so long as its for the leagues use. What purpose does a youth league have of allowing videos posted on the internet?

I don't think he is cheating. If you are a coach, you know this is "strategy". It's all part of the game. Kickball is a very competitive sport, so you need to do what you can to help your team win. One way is by knowing your opponent before you get on the field against them.

I dont think the issue is about cheating or "strategy" as you put it. The question is why does he continue to tape these games and then why without parental consent has he uploaded them to u tube. Why do so many girls feel uneasy around him?

You dont seem to be getting the BIG PIC !!! Maybe there isnt any bylaws in your almk league rules, but what about the legal aspects of uploading hundreds of videos to the internet without parental consent? I dont have to assume about who spends most of their waking hours glued to the internet. Just by going to u tube theres no question about the fact that your coach/mailman seems to enjoy it very much. As far as your coment on trashing something it seems that the league is already in that situation due to all this negativity about this one individual. Looks like your board needs to "step up to the plate" and do something about this man that thinks he has the power to do what he wants without any regard to others and their legal rights.

My daughter has played kickball, in Alice, for years and I think this will be her last year to play because there is too much violence and coaches and parents cussing at umpires and everything. I think the problem starts with the board, I and other parents have talked to the president, but still nothing gets done. The lady last year was the same way. Who else can you talk to. There are some board members that I have been told are trying to make the league better, but shouldnt the president be the one to help and not make it worse? I cant wait till the day, we parents can vote for another president and vice president and so on? And to think, I even thought about coaching too, but not with him there. There is too much favoritism.

I don't belong to Your almk and I don't know your bylaws however I do know you have the opportunity to change them and enforce the bylaws. Obviously by the other comments you do have a problem You have chosen the wrong people to run your league. Don't forget your vote counts at closing ceremonies. Make sure your board members know exactly what their duties are and that they do their duties before they try to do everyone elses. Unfortunately many of your problems could stem from this. People trying to do too much can be confusing to those who are just spectators.

Question cuz since you're not a member and you dont know the bylaws then how do you know that voting takes place at their closing ceremonies ????

Well duh? I didnt say i didnt belong to another kickball league. We do have several in Corpus. In all the leagues that my children have been involved in the voteing takes place at the end of the season. Wake up!

???Y is that when the coaches don't like another coach they take it out on the girls ????It's not there fault that the coaches don't get along....its for fun for them...now it's about fighting and talking all the smack ,showing the girls it's ok to not get along instead of showing a example to them....it's sad....alot of girls r leaving the leagued cause of all this drama...!!!

Once again this strange man was in Austin at the state playoffs doing his recording. Who does he think he is??? Just let those hot tempered parents and coaches get a hold of him from Bronsville and he'll never know what hit him. Hmmmm Thats an idea. Lets see if he's stupid enough to put those games on you tube without the parental consent of the Brownsville parents !!!!!

If you guys have a problem with him filming why dont you just talk to him? Call the police if you wish. There is no rule people cant video tape games. However posting them on youtube or anywhere online without the parents consent then that I do have a problem with!

yea thats the problem we dont care that he records for the cheating view but he just wont stopping putting them o on youtube...the head coaches already told him and he just does not listen......

Same here! My daughter LOVED this particular sport but she got tired of the cancelled practices & forfeited games. The MOST ridiculous thing to me; was asking who the insurance carrier is for ALMK & NO ONE EVEN THE PRESIDENT KNEW!
Unless; they played stupid VERY well to protect themselves "just in case"...The board; that title is too funny, cause the 'members' are the same ones for like 20 yrs..mothers, daughters, nieces, aunts, cousins...get the picture? they vote each other in!
"The" board is a 'CLICK' & morally disgusting! GET EM OUTTA there UNTIL they PLAY FAIR!

I am glad that people r viewing this n that people see the picture that has been put out........maybe something will get done finally .......... yea right!!!!!!we will see what happens.....its so sad that these girls work so hard n it's suppose to be a fun game not fighting n arguing about things then take it out on them:( I hope that the bad board members r viewing this so they can be very ashamed of them selfs...I dought they care they can care less unless they have a daughter in the game.
