I'd love for the cousins to help us out! I'm a Health teacher & Child Development teacher. We've had such a harrowing few years, but through it all, I always try to bring my A game for my students. Two years ago, I took an LOA for a couple months to care for my dad, on hospice, dying of pancreatic cancer. I was pink slipped for the 5th year in a row & this time was laid off (Ed budget crisis.) I tried to be responsible & put my home up for short sale before facing foreclosure & it sold just prior to my reinstatement! So...my mom had a serious accident & we moved in to provide care for her. Finally, we moved to a rental & my 13 year old, born with Transposition of the Great Vessels, started collapsing. After a great cardiac cath at UCSF in Oct, I get a call from my 22 year old...sudden headache: it's a basilar artery aneurism. Finally, my mom moves to senior apartments & we move back to my childhood home, affectionately referred to as "That 70s home," with a lease to buy so I can raise my kids here. As luck would have it, I slipped down the last couple stairs on Veteran's Day (I am a vet), & suffered a complex Lisfranc fracture requiring plates & pins. So...my poor husband has been trying to do the move on his own while battling a cold, being my nursemaid, and being a good parent for us both. We are very fortunate to have friends who have brought us dinner, transported my grading home for me to do, fixed some deferred maintenance on the house, given my children rides home from school & even moved our beds in the middle of the week so I could come back from surgery to a single story home. I'm going crazy with all the things I want to do & can't! I miss my students like crazy, and I feel terrible for the Herculean weight on my husband's shoulders. He gave up SO much when he immigrated from Scotland to marry me 14 years ago & has been on a wild ride ever since! I don't know how I would live without him. He is amazing.

Hi, I want the cousins to come to my house for my mom she does a lot for the community by day she works hard and by night she is a swim coach and soccer manager. She has been for years wanting to redo their master and bathroom and I think it would mean a lot because she is always helping the community in her free time.

I am a teacher in a Title 1 school, and I love teaching the students there. The children in this area are in need of more than just an education, but many of these children are in need of day-to-day needs.
I am fifty-five years old, and have recently come into a situation that I no longer even have a home. I am renting a cabin from a wonderful couple, so I am alright for the next few months. I do not know what the future may bring, but I would be so happy to have a little home with a couple of bedrooms and a garden room which I would use to write children's books, which is my life's dream. I could also use that area to do tutoring.
I do have a little bit of land with a small, very old home on it, but it is not in any condition to live in. I would love to be considered for the possibility of being chosen for the honor of being helped by these wonderful cousins. I have not really been in the position to ask for help in the past, but now I know how it feels to be in need of help!
One thing that I have determined to do when I do have a home again, is to help women who come into needing help in dangerous situations, as I am currently. The couple that I spoke about was able to get me a safe place in their cabin. I do pay rent and take care of my own needs, much like my life before, but I am in a safe place so that I can continue to do my job and live my life. I want to be there for others too.
Please help me if you can! I only want a small place that I can call my own again where I can surround myself with my beloved pets and friends.

Well what to say? I have never done anything like this before, but I figured doesn't hurt to try. I would love to nominate my mother. We do have a long sappy story about bad decisions and mistakes, but with those mistakes came the best turn around for my mom! She just recently bought her first home. It's not run down or mold infected. It's a small two bedroom living kitchen. Two of her grown children live at home. She takes the small bedroom so one of her kids can have the bigger room. The house is from the 1950s. She gives so much for her family and friends. Even people she doesn't know the decisions her past made her who she is today. I would just love for the chance for my mom to finally get back. She makes so many sacrfises I only hope one day I could do the same. I understand u have alot of application you will probably never read this. I would love the chance to to surprise my mom with you guys, but if not I understand.

I would love to see the cousins come to my son Craig's home in Paradise California. He does so much for his community, church, family and friends. He will drop what ever he is doing to help fix a car to get a family home. He is always there when someone needs help moving. He even will buy someone a cup of joe that is behind him. One day he saw a old couple in a parking Lot stranded. He jumped right in to help them and got their car going. They tried to give him some money but he would not take it. He has a full time job and always a second one and he goes to school. He and his wife have three kids and two years ago they bought their first home but he has not had the time to work on it. I worry that heavy old garage door will fall on one of the kids. He is such a good husband, father, friend and most of all son. Being a single parent of five boys he was the oldest and was and still is a role model for his younger brothers. Please cousins can you help my son and his family...

Hi, I am a baseball manager for my schools baseball team. My school has been around since 1972. This means that the baseball field was built around then and I know you guys don't normally do schools or anything of the sort. I would like to nominate the Head Coach because he has been a teacher at this school for many years and recently ( 2-4 years) the head coach of the baseball team. The field is in worse condition, announcers box/ concession stand needs redecorating/reorganizing, the shed needs something done, maybe some new fencing, the players boxes could be fixed to but not necessary, and the field isn't turf which means that it is real grass and mud so when it rains, games and practices have to be cancelled. Please, please help it will be for the team and head coach to have this field redone!! Thanks so much for reading this!!

I would love for my parents to win a sweepstakes from the cousins on call, they're amazing, and i feel they would be able to help ALOT. My mum has been diagnosed with Lyme's Disease for 14 years, and has a brain tumor and she's tired all the time, and she's on a picc line and has to go to the hospital everyday for months and months. I have a 17 year old severely autistic brother as well, plus a dad who works and doesn't come back til dark, so the house we live in doesn't get worked on as much. We bought a major fixer upper in Douglasville Georgia, for the sake of being closer to my dad's work, my brother's safety and better schools. We have lived here for 7 years, still with no flooring, unfinished kitchen, unfinished bedrooms, bathrooms I'll be going to college soon plus working and i can't do much. I really wish i could have these guys and make my parents dream home come true!!!!! It would mean a lot to them, and to me, and help my mum feel better in the place she lives in.

I have a daughter that was born with a severe heart condition. She is 45 and it is miracle she is alive. God put her here for the doctors to learn. Her husband try's to give her what she needs as far as medications. He is always paying med. bills, so they never have enough to do anything with her house. Her husband is a chef, but not enough jobs around. He has a stabe job manufacturing.. You know yourself that salary is limited. I wish I could give her more He married u daughter knowing her condition. Toke a long story shor. She has a pacemaker, defibrillator and a mechanical valve. She will have to have her pulmonary replaceded in the future. I just would like to bring something to them to make them happy, instead of struggling. She does not get yo move around that much and has stairs in her all house.
