I know this shall be off topic, but I wish to know if it is okay to eat Jersey Tomatoes. They are my favorite, but with all this salmonella, I do not know if they are safe.

srry i did not reply sooner i did not relize you posted something. in general to any reported issues such as this matter i would inqure more with the store you are buying from number 1, number 2 if any threat is of such concern the eastiblishment should not be selling them. my main feeling at that would have been to say no and resurch a little further into the range of hosts the problem is prone to attack
