How many people have died as a result of drinking water that the government says is "contaminated", that should not have been "contaminated"? Isn't that the real issue?

Any comments about Hawaii's water quality? Any violations?

I think that number is much higher than 20% since most public water systems have the contaminates of chlorine and fluoride in them.

Yesterday the EPA declared carbon dioxide a hazardous compound. Pretty soon the libs will be calling water a "racist."

BTW, Bill Smith, if you're alive, thank chlorine and fluoride. HTH.

With increased frequency we all see the footage of the Board of Water supply digging up the ground, repairing the concrete pipes that have broken then to fill those gigantic holes.
The point is those are concrete pipes, how safe are they for water to flow through then to come out of your faucet to drink.
The question isn't how many people may have died from drinking city water, rather what illnesses or medical conditions resulted from consuming city water.
Smart people don't take such risks, they buy purified water.

Uhhh tap water has to meet purity standards; those restrictions aren't applied to bottled water.

Lucky you live in Hawaii; by the way did you visit Las Vegas? The nuclear test site is only 65 miles NE. Too bad about those uranium mine rubbish heaps on the Colorado River.

Really? Why would that be since they are both poisonous to the human body.

The water quality in our area has dimininished. It gives me an upset stomach if I drink it from the city water. I used to drink it a few months ago. Now, I have to buy purified water which is getting expensive. The situation is also getting scary.
Yes, I agree, the water we drink can get us sick.
Access to clean water should be our fundamental right, but now it's hard to get. Our leaders seem not to care, even the EPA are not so concerned because they have the money to buy the purified water. It's the poor people who always take the hit.

For those of you who have the faith in our city water system and water quality good for you.

Many people spend a lot of money on soda, juices and milk with no concern of the costs. Yet for $5.00 for a case (24 pack) of 500 ml. per bottle they argue that's too expensive.

Life is about choices. Informed choices are often times better. Good health to all no matter what your choice is.

Just FYI our Sewage treatment is Medieval We look down at people in the Middle Ages who let Plague spread by having dead animals rotting in the streets, but now we release birth control pills, heart medicine, and other drugs for people downstream to drink. There are better ways, we can treat sewage using Living Machines. Eco systems that break down chemicals into simple compounds.Fresh water is only 3% of water on Earth, let's conserve it!
