It took four months to turn the former Jalapeos Mexican restaurant into Mythos, a Greek restaurant.

And your point is? have you been there? If you have, then you can understand why it took 4 months to open. It is one of the most upscale restaurants that I have been to in Bergen County. The food was outrageous, non of this fusion Greek food. It was authentic, delicious and extemely reasonably priced. The staff was beyond professional and very welcoming. The interior is very inviting, and makes you want to be there.

We had a great experience at Mythos. Having never had Greek food, we were a bit apprehensive, but our waiter Bobby guided us correctly in the right directions and we loved everything we had. The owner is also very active, visiting tables, socializing and checking on everything. Mythos prepares a lot of good, healthy food, active use of extra-virgin olive oil and herbs. For appetizers, we tried the grilled calamari (melt in your mouth) and octopus, Greek Sausage and Salad. For entrees, we had Swordfish Kebobs, Shrimp Santorini over rice and baby lamb chops. Everything was cooked to perfection and we couldn't have been happier. A real find! Visit them on a weeknight and you'll be pampered beyond your expectations.
