If I broke a law, I would take the punishment like the man that I am. This girl is hiding behind her ''paw paw'' legs, she needs to get down to the local precinct and turn herself in for underage driving. The reason does not excuse the crime. I am also accepting donations to fix her brothers teeth, if you would like to help please reply to this post, thank you.
REALLY CHRIS...GET A LIFE..DO YOU REMEMBER WHEN YOU WERE LITTLE AND YOU MOTHER SAID IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY THEN DON'T SAY NOTHING AT ALL...WELL THIS IS ONE OF THOSE TIMES...

That's great and words cannot express the joy your story of overcoming adversity brings me, but the girl still broke the law.
Chris, do us all a favor and go away. So freaking what if she broke the law by driving. She saved her grandfathers life and her and her siblings life, by taking over and driving. You sound like a little punk that needs to grow up. If you are an adult then you are a MORON.

Liz, abiding by the rules is not that difficult, and I can attest to that. There are far to many [email protected]#es the world as it is, and I believe they included you on their last census report. The phrase ''those that live in glass houses ect'' does not apply to me, I live by the rules and will die by the rules. This girl should be in juvie, and paw paw should be in a AA meeting. He was stinking of cheap whiskey according to my sources when he nearly passed out behind the wheel. I wouldnt be surprised if the girl was drinking as well. If you would like to donate funds to help fix her brothers teeth, please reply to this posting. So far I have nearly raised $180.00, thank you.

Apo, AE can refer to any number of countries outside the United States with a military installation. I'm not HONESTMAN but I commend his posts nonetheless.

This would've been a much different story if this 12 year old girl had ran an SUV with a family of five inside off of the road.

And for the record, unlike HONESTMAN I don't feel the girl needs to be punished or anything. People just need to realize that there are reasons 12 years olds shouldn't be operating motor vehicles and that this story could have been one of tragedy rather than heroism. If it was an absolute last resort then sure, but the fact that she called her father (12 year old using a cell phone while illegally operating a motor vehicle) shows there were other outlets the children could have taken.

I just saw a story locally where a 11 year old boy who was upset at being suspended from school stole his aunt's SUV and went on a joyride and crashed into several cars. Now THAT'S breaking the law. What Anna did was not breaking the law. Sometimes you have to look at the person's intentions to determine whether a law was really broken or not. Also, Anna was not the one trying to call someone for help while driving down the mountain - her brother was. She only used the phone once they were parked at the service station. Honestly Chris, please get your facts straight!

"Anna even passed a few dump trucks that scared her to death before she and Zak were able to get their dad on the phone."

The burden of proof is on you to show me that Anna was not the one that called her father.

Wha?? Even if his were different circumstances... let's say, the grandfather letting his 12 year old granddaugther drive them to the corner store - the punishment is not juvy hall. An officer would probably give a stern warning, or a fine AT MOST to the grandfather. The 12 year old would not go to a juvenile detention center for driving a car with an adult's permission, in an adult's presence.

Please stop responding to this troll... He is only posting this crap to get you stirred up... If everyone will stop responding, maybe he will stop (although I have my doubts...). It is suspected that Honest and Chris are the same person. Just leave him alone and maybe he'll go get his high on another forum.

Karma's a beach and one day he'll get his...!
