OMG!!! I cant believe all the negative things I have read here today, can someone just be happy for someone for a change and stop hating. Jesus what is this world coming to. Ok if they were lying, let them, let god take care of that. Me personaly I am a single mother of 4 children ages 16, 14, 10 and 3 and I barely am able to put food on the table, it is not easy taking care of all them children on your own, keeping them on the right track living in camden is definitely not easy at all, trust me i know!! Ok the man drinks, let him have his drink, i have my drink every here and there. He must have his reasons. Me, myself i dont know the Marerro family but instead of mocking and talking about them I am very happy for them, god bless them. Good things like this hardly happen in camden, so I am glad it happened to someone.

To the marrero family, God Bless, good luck and I personaly am very happy for you and your 5 children...Brush your shoulders off, people are only hating. Next time I have a drink I will make a toast to the Marerro Family.......

I can not believe how selfish and jealeous people are in this world. This is a family that is so worthy of this and I can not believe the comments I have read about this. I volunteered for 2 days at the site and I have to say, I have never been proud to volunteer for a family that deserve this. This has touched my heart and I am so excited to see the looks on their faces when they come home from Spain and see their brand new home. I hope that not one person disappoints them and ever destroys their dream. I only wish that there were more families in this world that stick together as a family as these people have. All I can say, is best of luck and much happiness to all of you in your new home.

As a "Camdenite" I am truly happy to see that one of our own was awarded such a blessing. I know that everyone has their own opinions of how such a thing could of happenned, the hows' why's and why nots'. Overall, this is something good happenning for the community. Whether it be Camden/Pennsauken border or not. It is a true testimony how something so big(The Extreme Homemaker Show) could come here to a city so small and so forgotten about most of the time to give and donate time and effort in doing a tremedous great deed to a family like may others that are forgotten in the struggle.
Pray for this family, pray for each other, pray for this city...For one second just be happy for this family and pray that they use their blessing as God would want them to.
God Bless us all....

To the person who said the house will be robbed 6 months after it's done. The house has a complete home security system throughout the entire house, I know because I installed it!!

Camden is not all bad alot of people live there because they can't pay 1,000 or 2,000 dollars in mortgage. If you just do the right thing your fine in camden I know I live here almost all my live and I never had a problem. I'm glad someone remember camden being that no one remember about fixing our streets. So God bless there house hope they in joy it.

I'm from Camden, and There are Families in Camden that are more poor than this family. This should have been given to someone who really needed it. Come on Victor's sons are capable of working and making money. I can walk around and tell TV stations I'm really poor too!

all the negative comments are ridiculous. Everyone that has a negative comment to say is just jealous that the bus didn't pull up to their house. As far as this family they are amazing and if you got a chance to know them you would realizde why they recdeived this blessing. As far as there being poorer families in camden....yes there are poorer families everywhere but it is what they do with their lives and how they make a difference!! and this family has made a difference.

all you jealous people will remain poor and have lives that go nowhere

this is for JUST ME>just be happy for the family. I am sure there are many other ppl that need it..BUT they can not provide to everyone..just be happy for them...you would take it if they gave it to you and I am sure you are able to work..it has nothing to do with if you can work or not...
