Angry club owner blasts Mt. Laurel officials

If the township rezones Ramblewood Country Club from residential to recreational conservation, it could open up the possibility of a large-scale development, the property owner said yesterday.

$202,000 an acre ??? A lot of this land is non buildable ( in a flood plain. Who is going to pay 200k/acre ? Why sould the tax payer. The Green acres program is a great way for land owners to get infated prices for their gound.

Yeah, maybe you could enlighten me, I don't understand this program. Do the taxpayers get to vote on what is bought and for how much?

It is my understanding that it is a state program that the twp officals make the call. Each (state & twp)pay 50% of the set price is made by the owner and or a market evaluation.
