This is really a minor thing to merit a news article. They should be investigating attorneys that illegally have an interest in title insurance companies-Now that is a real scandal and nary a peep. Everybody keeps their mouth shut out of fear.

Not all are crooks, but they don't do a good job at all in the public relations department. The gossiping paralegals and legal secretaries that hop from office to office and congregate at the court house don't help either. Some mean ole biddies down there!

Wittstruck probably won't have any billboards.
Two previous reprimands? He needs to find a different career.

Don't the legal eagles believe in confidentiality? Why do they hire paralegals
or secretaries without signing a "HIPAA" paper?

They have to hire goobers because they pay so little; then complain when the goobers talk bad about them or are always out looking for a new job. It would be funny on a sitcom, but it's not because of the problems it causes real people.

Poor ol' Dumbstruck. I wonder if he still does uncontested divorces for $75.00 and guilty pleas on DWI for $150.00? He's a nice enough guy, but I sure as heck wouldn't want him representing me if I were in trouble.

I doubt he is the dumbest or the worst lawyer in town. At least it was not about stealing money or drugs.

I'm sure he's not, but if I were in trouble, I'd rather have one of the ones that is stealing money or drugs (and getting away with it).:0)

If attorneys would treat their staff members with respect, then the staff might show a little loyalty and not be so quick to run their mouths. If you treat your staff like they are scum beneath your feet then they have every right to speak out. If the staff member is not divulging attorney/client information, then there is nothing wrong with the staff member letting their colleagues know what type of person the attorney is and what it is like to work for that attorney. I know that not all attorneys treat their staff members like pee-on's, but the majority do and it is completely unfair and degrading for the paralegal/legal assistant profession.

I wonder if this was written at a law office on a company machine with company electricity and company internet connection by a paralegal who was being paid by the company at the time?
