But keep running from that point, as you run from most every point.
So, you're"Mr.Evidence"h uh? So, according to you, the universe sprang into existence..from nothing? How very scientific.

My point was to invoke reaction from you and you did exactly what I knew you would. Offer no opinion to the article from an Israeli newspaper.

Just wondering why he did not go the first term. This time he went with "his" peace plan to offer up. Now, do you have, an opinion on the peace plan. Today, would be nice, not three days from now when it's old news.

Socialists, who were very active in the public school movement, began operating in America as early as 1829, before the word socialism was even invented. Now their movement has push to all out communism. Were government schools established because private society and families refused to educate the children, resulting in lifelong ignorance and illiteracy? Were the motives of the reformers pure, selfless and concerned only with the well-being of the children? Surely, after these reforms were in place, school attendance rose, illiteracy disappeared and the quality of education vastly improved. None of those things happened!
No, government schools were not established out of any dire need for them but rather for a variety of crass religious, political and economic motives. They were not immaculately conceived but rather were born out of a toxic stew of religious absolutism, Prussian militarism, utopian socialist leveling and special interest greed and power lust. The main point is that relations among people in government schools are coercive and involuntary. Those with legal power tell those without legal power what to do. Those without power have little choice but to comply. Slavery

I liked the pic where the Earth was in hands and then life began with single cell bacteria, then complex organisms, fish, land animals, mammals etc.(evolution as God's method of creation). There still is no science supporting creation from nothing. You may interchange energy and mass but not have either appear from nothing.

And I was under the belief that public schools in the US actually started with mostly Methodist preachers teaching in remote areas with an emphasis on religion but concentrated on reading, writing and arithmetic. I still cannot understand why Methodist preachers would want to propagate communism.

Knowing something is considerably different from believing.
I know that God created the heavens and Earth. Mike doesn't believe that. Mike and I seem to agree that evolution has been the method by which life on Earth has developed. Mike doesn't believe that God guided that process. I know that he did. Mike could ask me for my proof. I have it. But I lack the words to communicate it to Mike or anyone. I think I understand why he keeps asking everyone for proof. He knows that it is impossible
for him to prove a negative (that God does not exist). The delima can never be settled for him until he knows.

Does anyone have an OPINION on the President of the United States going to Israel? Since he just said it was good to "get away from Congress".
No republican president has visited Israel in their first term. George W. Bush didn't visit until the eighth year of his presidency.

The only two US presidents to make an official state visit to Israel during their first term were Carter and Clinton.

Ronald Reagan and George H. Bush never visited Israel during their terms in office.

The thing that Mike will never accept is that I have to believe in GOD.My very nature requires that I be a believer.Mike and his opinions on GOD have no effect on me, and my belief should have no effect on him, frankly. The man has called me every kind of idiot, because of my belief in GOD.Mike's extremely low opinion of believers, and me in particular, doesn't phase me at all, but it seems to me that he is incapable of accepting my beliefs, while I have no problem accepting his beliefs on GOD.And religion in general. My belief in GOD does not infringe on Mike's disbelief.I don't"look down"on Mike for being an atheist.I understand a lot of his attacks on religion. But, in my view, Mike is as inflexible in his beliefs as the most fanatical"religious fanatic".

When did I claim this?
Absolute nothing does not exist as far as science can measure.\
Try asking me what I really believe instead of regurgitating the typical religious propaganda.

Cry me a river.
Oh no, the atheist opposes my superstition. Am I forcing you to stop believing? Nope.
Of course my opinions have no effect on your beliefs. That is the definition of a fully closed mind. That is how religion has brainwashed you to keep opposing information from entering the logic part of your brain. Religion teaches you to close out what the non believers say.
You clearly just bought the story your parents taught you and now you refuse to question that story. Thanks for admitting your closed mindedness just as Bacon did on religion. See the trend?

Now show me some evidence and I will examine it from your side.

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Leo

You have your head screwed on the right way when it comes to thinking about work and other important areas of your life. In fact, you're uncharacteristically practical and efficient. No one will be able to fool you. Ideally, you'll prefer your own company while you're doing all this because it will help you to concentrate more fully and not be distracted by what's happening around you.
