we sorely need a good dose of some common sense in this country. first there is the case of the crazed islamist ft. hood shooter nidal malik hassan. this guy was making crazy statements and reportedly said, ''i'm a muslim first, american second.'' yet nothing was done until he opened fire on his fellow soldiers. a lot of people in the military blame political correctness. they say the military was afraid to critisize muslims. it seems all common sense has left our goverment. then there is the uproar over the plan to try al qeada terrorists in the united states and hold them in prisons here. some critics say it's too dangerous. please. it seems the american people are smarter and braver than some of the sniveling pundits. folks in montana and illinios who have empty prisons want the guantanomo inmates in their cummunities. these terrorists don't have any special powers that will let them escape from a highly secure prison. it seems the republican enemies of the president would rather score political points than help their constituents, many of whom want the inmates put in the empty prisons in their towns. some say putting terrorist prisoners in illionios will make that state a ''terrorist target.'' the terrorists are not as strong or as numerous as some believe. the reason terrorists resort to terrorism is becuase they are weak. it is the tactic of the weak. we should really not be afraid of a few pathetic religious fanatics hiding in caves. the esteemed allegedly pious muslim nidal malik hasan was a hypocrit like a lot of muslims; he reportedly frequented strip clubs. then there is the uproar over president obama's bow to the japanese emperor. the president's enimies seem to be so desperate thay will use a silly non-issue like this to attack the president. some republicans had the gall to say obama was ''futhering america's decline by bowing to the japanese emperor. they seem to forget the idiot who was our previous president did a lot to contribute to that decline. bush borrowed billions to put us in hoc to the chinese and look what we have to show for it--an iraq so grateful the state department urges american buisnessmen not to travel to iraq because it's too dangerous. things may be looking grim for obama but what with the republicans have to offer, he may win by default in 2012. we need a serious dose of common sense in this country.
