I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on who to go to about bullying at Eldorado High School. The teachers and administrators refuse to even acknowledge the problem. They are no help at all. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. Thanks!

I have spent just a little bit of time in EHS as a professional. I hope I'm wrong but the impression given is that there just isn't much expected of the students either academically or behaviorally. Good luck to you.

i was a student at EHS and really they could care less about the students their. they don't expect anything good out of the kids who don't have alot of money but the ones who did have money they were pampered and babied when they were their. in the teachers eyes them kids never did anything wrong. but there were a few select teachers that actually did care for the kids that didn't have alot of money. also their is no one you can talk to about the bulling. my suggestion is teach your kids to never relie on the teachers at Eldorado High School

Actually, my kids will never attend public school, so that won't be a problem. Educating my children is MY responsibility, not the government's.

I have been told that the bullying is also in the lower grades. This problem needs to be addressed now because there are many children who are suffering because of this. If the child who is bullied defends himself or herself they are subject to be sent home as was the case of my grandchild. A child cannot learn properly in an environment where there is fear and antagonism. If necessary all of you who have children who are being bullied should seek the help of a lawyer to look into the situation. Ask your state to get involved to help protect your children. Call the state board of Education and make so many complaints that they have to investigate and keep complaining until they do something. Contact your newspapers and any other medium that you can use to put the issue before the public. If none of this helps contact your Govenor and ask for help. Ask your Represenatives and Senators how you should handle the situation. Keep trying until someone listens.

In all honesty, many on the school staff are just as guilty of bullying as some of the students are. I think we need to make their lives hell until they put a stop to it. It's ridiculous.

Hi , I'm a former student from EHS.I graduated in 1996 and I can tell you things have not changed much. Some of the kids that went there when I did their parents went to school there or had more money then others... I actually had to take care of a bully myself... It does no good to say anything because the teachers are just there .. or ..were just there for a pay check nothing more.... by the end of my 9th grade year I did not have anymore problems... my advice is .... go to Mr Siebert... go straight over the principles head .. go to the school board bring it up at meetings .. get the message out there.. However they're is a down side to that as well .. sometimes if it goes on long enough then when others get involved it is sometimes to late... this meaning the bullying may become much worse.... I hate to say this but it seems ... that some things really never change... I will tell you this as well that when I went there as well I have seen several teachers bully other teachers as well.... so the teachers may think there really isn't anything they could do... sorry to ramble.. but wanted to give my opinion... former EHS student..

If you have evidence that a teacher is "BAD" as in being a bully or otherwise, have all that fit this category brought before the school board and have them "FIRED". Who says you have to put up with people who don't do their job properly! There are GOOD teachers in the world! Maybe these teachers have been there too long! If you don't stand up for your kids, who will? Don't let your kids fight this battle alone! A Bully always picks on someone who is smaller, weaker,or defenseless. If you are afraid to confront the bullies how on earth do you expect your kids to? If nothing else, you need officers to patrol the school grounds and halls. Ask for area officers to volunteer a day of their off time as a community service at the school.Do they have cameras in the school? If not, now would be a good time to have them installed! And to any of you who will yell about privacy issues, it's worth giving up a little privacy to insure the kids are safe.
