The proof would have come at trial, that's what trial is for except Steve went and got himself and his family slaughtered before his court date. Steve was a drug dealer who the cops had charged. Steve was polluting the community with drugs and it cost those defenseless children their lives, I hope he is enjoying burning in hell.

Let's break this down;

1. Was Steve charged with selling drugs? Yes.

2. Was he set for trial the week he was killed? Yes.

3. Was his drug dealing ways responsible for those innocent little children being killed? Yes.

4. Because he wasn't one of the "big ones" it makes it ok to sell drugs to make a dollar? No.

Steve was a drug dealer and that ultimately lead to his children's death, put all the sugar on it that you want, but it doesn't change the fact that Steve himself played a big part in what happened. If Steve had made better choices in life on how to make a dollar those children would still be here, his selfish, lazy ways cost those children their lives. The one who killed them us certainly responsible as well, but so was Steve, it's time you realize that.

If you have it all figured out and know it all, then why have all these other people who are supposedly been involved not been arrested? Oh, when was the last time someone was given the death penalty for a crime federally?

How could this murder go "Federal"?

No kidnapping across state lines; murder was not committed on Federal property; murder did not involve a Federal employee.

Are they considering narcotic (drug) trafficking?(Which would then make this case a Federal issue.)

However, the state/county has to dismiss their charges first before the Federal prosecutors can proceed. And, considering that just on Tuesday Belknap waived his right to preliminary, it doesn't sound like Nicholas County is dismissing any time soon.

thank you Interesting for pointing out some very true facts, but there is still time to change the grand jury to going federal, and if the info was correct then i guess it will be turned over to the feds, unless a certain officer was lying to me when he said he himself were trying to get in touch with a certain person with the marshalls service!....fyi marshalls were involved the day the bodies were found! and in case this is that certain officer i have those direct numbers for you....call me back!...you know who you are and i am sure you know who i am! its only right that justice is served to all the victims, not just 2 of them!

Fyi, the Marshal Service doesn't investigate crimes, they are tasked with fugitive apprehension and prisoner transport.
