It starts with a government paid doctor visit from a individual who has a need to obtain a Pain killer.

His life then spirals into a down wind for his new pain called ADDICTION.

This addiction leads into, needles, legal charges, and a life time of diseases, tears, and pain that will haunt his soul.

His loving family is drawn to his pain and his children follow in his steps with a pain and a need, a empty void.

His friends are arrested for possession. His wife dies of heart ache. His kids run away with a woman from the State who said they will have a better life.

Now every one blames the law, it's messed up, the judicial system don't care.

The police knock on his door he can't gather his thoughts. The scars of syringes bulge his arms he sheds a tear and ask why are you here. The cop says god sent me to save what life you have left. He fights the police as they drag him out to the cruiser.

With a grown man crying in the back seat the cop closes his door and looks at the rookie cop and says its not how many people you arrest but what you do with the ones you arrest.

The rookie says what was this guy wanted for? He answers 4 felonies burglaries one from a dead man. So where are we gonna take him the warrant says straight to jail!

The cruiser slows by a home with toys in the yards and two children laughing and playing. He then slows by a grave yard. The cop turns and says too the drug addict dad and says everyone human we all make mistakes be more like gods children, play and laugh, every one will eventually end up in that box under ground. You can pull threw this no one will help you more than you helping yourself. Hang in there spend your time sober, pray, live, laugh and make what's best of what you still have, that's your life!!

A major drug bust in Greenbrier County puts one alleged drug dealer under arrest.

43-year-old Sonya Ivey of Alderson was arrested Friday after selling drugs to an under-cover police officer in Rainelle.

After her arrest, Ivy's two homes and vehicle were searched. The Rainelle Police Department recovered a large quantity of marijuana, hydrocodone and hdyromoreaphone pills along with other paraphernalia and cash.

Police say Ivey admitted to selling drugs.

Ivey is charged with two-counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession with intent to deliver.

Ivey posted a $27,500 dollar bond and will have a preliminary hearing on Monday.

She isn't "off the streets" because she posted bond. How much is a large quantity of marijuana?

I made that Dr.'s visit! A long time ago. The last 21 years of my life has been HELL.. I remember the very first pain pill I ever took a perk 5. OMG what used to be a once-N-awhile became a every-day NEED. If you are reading this and you've tried a pill or two STOP STOP!! Read the following you will find reason after reason to quit.. I did that perk when I was 18 since then I have spent every dollar ever made on a pill!! I've done other drugs Just not like the OPIATE family.. From 18 to 26 hydro's and ty-lox and the all time favorite PERK OXYCONTIN. I was 26 and a brand new mom when I did the first Oxy with-in one year 12 months I had 48 felonies in Va and 6 in WV I spent 3 years locked up my son stayed with my mom, my family went through alot of changes it wasn't just my life the pills affected every-one and any-one who cared about me was hurt. From 2001-2005 I was clean! then boom did it again 06-07 clean! boom did it again. 07-to now it's BOOM no clean!! For some reason I want quit don't make no sense those lil' bastards have took everything from me I mean everything.. Trust and believe they will take it from you maybe not the first year you use or the second but I'd bet you a dollar if I had one with-in time it will take EVERYTHING. QUIT NOW BEFORE IT TAKES A HOLD ON YOU!!!!!!! My son is still with my mom, I have no job, facing jail cause of child support, no home, no family to accept my call and no friends. plenty of acquaintance's no friends in this "DRUG-WORLD"

Thank you for sharing this,it was very moving. I had lost my husband, family members and soooo many close friends to the addictions. The sad part is not only does the judicial system not care, the doctors that had it out like candy don't care either. For the doctors all about money. It's done got so out of control that the only way they will be able to stop it is start with taking these doctors rights away from them that prescribes it,and make these people go to a government not state appointed doctor that will only give it if it's truely needed,or set up a government run clinic like the methadone clinics where they would have to go to get one pill a day.

Thank you for sharing your story. Mine is almost simular. I just want to give you a lot of encouragement. It DOES NOT matter how many times we mess up as long as we ask forgiveness. God forgives us a 1000 times a day if we would just ask. And if you still have your life then there is still hope that you can quit agian. I've always heard that the more we relap the hard it is to ask for help, cause we think we don't deserve it. I'm here to tell you, you do deserve it!!!! You have to do it for your self and also your son. Yea its hard and you know that, but you have done it so do it again. I go to the Methadone clinic and yes I know alot of people who disapprove. Even my family did until they saw that it helped me. If you really want it to work then it will. If you just go cause you think it's an easy way to get something then it can kill you and will not help. I research it and asked alot of questions before I made my decision, but it is hard to come off of also. And some never do, but if your taking like your supposed to and nothing else, then that is something to be proud of. No matter how long. Cause guess what then your not out causeing problems and No one can hold it against you. They are not aloud. Not even cps. So please check into it and if you have any questions ask them and I will answer. But you owe it to you and your family to try again and again no matter what!!!!! I will be praying for you and Good luck!

Hey Thank you! I'm glad to hear you are working the methadone clinic for the right reasons and you are right it can really help you if you are doing it for the right reasons. It's not ment for "lifetime treatment" The way I understand the clinic is this Dose for a short term to bring you off of the stuff your on so withdrawl don't kill ya then gradually bring you off of the done along with therapy someone providing you with tools to restart your life without the use of drugs. My brother did this program for a year or more and it really helped him unfortunately he broke the law before he found the clinic so he is doing time now, I pray that he will be ok. I wish you luck.

Ive been thinking about this alot, anf it is so sad to how much I have wasted on dope.. It's crazy. I had a counselor tell me one time "If I was to put as much energy into being clean as I do into looking I'd never use again" That is so true.. I don't know about you but I have lost more friends than any one person should lose in a life-time some to death, some of them got tired of watching me suffer, some got tired of being robbed and others well you get the point. I met a girl a couple of years ago she was just starting to use, she was with a friend of mine and well I told her "girl you better stop now... Don't do it It will take you no where but to hell an back "I promise" I told her my life story in about 10 mins a pill heads life story doesn't take long to tell Not many details you know I woke up looked for a pill went to bed woke up looked for a pill went to bed, ripped someone off today, hiding from the police sick as a dog high as hell that pretty much sums it up.. any way she laughed and said no not me I'm going to college I'm just tring it I can stop any time since that conversation our friend shot his self "may he rest in peace" and she well she's not in school the last I herd she got arrested for possesion with intent that was almost 2 years ago it doesn't take long for drugs to mess your life up. One minute you think your in control and it's just something to do for that day and then the next thing you know it's 20 years later and it's still that same day..

Yea It took 3 months for me to hit my bottom with the pills. but most of my life using different things. I have to say, pills is the worst thing I have ever done, and it didn't take long to find that out. I wish people would listen and not even try them, cause when you do, that is all it takes just one. I was lucky though my bottom is alot less than most. I didn't go to jail, or stole from people, or anything like that. As soon as I started thinking about pawning my tv's and the kids games, then I knew it was time for help. I put my family through heck while I was trying out differnt rehabs, but thank the Good Lord they NEVER gave up on me. I wanted the help but while I was going through it it got hard and I wanted to give up. I am so thankful to have people that really cares enough not to let me. I wish every one had that and once they do get help stay off of it. Cause I know if I have even a quarter of something my addictions starts again. And really it don't even take a quarter. That is where people has to be strong. If I hurt some where then I will take ibprofen. Some times I have to take more than two or more, but sooner or later the pain stops. lol
So take my advice anyone who reads this and thinks "aw one wont hurt, or just one weekend and that's it." Sorry but it doesn't work like that.
