Hostess announced this morning it will seek to liquidate and terminate 18,500 jobs. Now instead of losing 8% pay it's 100%. 18,500 more on welfare.

I say all the states wanting to secede from the union should buy Hostess and start the company back up in their newly formed nation.

Well, I agree, instead of of the people, for the people and by the people, we are now of the government, for the government and by the government....

It's rather obvious unions drove the company into bankruptcy. They were warned but they would not listen. Now we lose Twinkies and Wonder Bread, thousands have lost their job. Everyone loves Hostess and their fine products. The only company OK with this is Little Debbie. Watch all their crap go up in price as they just lost their only competitor.

You do realize those things only last a week or two before they spoil right? The thing about their shelf life being years long is a myth.

Not if you seal them up tightly and freeze them. Will last a couple of months.

Anyone else see the irony of all these places trying to legalize marijuana, while at the same time the Twinkies are going away? Somebody didn't think things through all the way.

Typical Socialist. Yes, let's spend taxpayer $$ to bail out a failed firm that caved to union demands so long it went under. You know why socialism ALWAYS fails? At some point you run out of other peoples money to spend!

Maybe they could have cut the bonus for the pres. and the vice pres. from 23 million and 18 million last year and saved the company!
