I am not looking for an rude or selfish remarks. Just facts. I was a teenage mom and my son's father was absent. To this day he still is. I contacted him, because I am married and would like my husband to adopt my son. He agreed that he doesn't want to be in his life or have anything to do with him. My son is 4 years old, special needs, and a well adjusted child. My husband is who he calls daddy and who he ask for when he is hurt, wants a bed time story, or learns something new. My husband and I truly want to go through with this adoption so that our son can have the same last name as us. Can anyone tell me about their experience with step parent adoption, the process, good attorney, and the most cost efficient way to go about it. Thanks so much and God Bless.

I think it's great your husband has taken on this role. If your ex truly does not want any rights to the child simply call any of the local family law attorneys and request this process to start. But your ex will have to sign his rights over 100%. Good luck

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Capricorn

If you need to get someone organized, this is the day to do it. You'll sort things out without sounding bossy or patronizing, and you'll also get co-operation instead of resistance. It's a good day for having a serious chat with a child, perhaps because you need to explain something and want to make sure you do it properly, in a way that doesn't create confusion or fear.
