6th grade basketball

What do you think of 6th grade basketball at Raceland?

I think having the 16 boys and splitting them up and having two schedules is great. It will give all the boys plenty of playing time and will allow everyone to improve. It it better then having all on one team or cutting more and only playing with 11. The coaches are doing a great job and the boys have played well, only having 6-7 practices as they have. I know it's not fun to watch your kid sit the bench but this way all the boys should get plenty of court time. I'm glade mine made the second team so he wont have to sit the bench and will actually get in the game and don't have to listen to the one mom freaking yelling all the time. I wish she would shut up.....

I love the way people get on a site like this and fire off at people. If you dont like someone yelling, get a backbone and go talk to them in person. And as far as the team goes. They're losing to teams this year that they beat last year. What a joke.

They only played certain players. Depending on what their last name is. Most of the good player was on the bench. Should have played them before they was so far behind. Some coach to win, others coach so their kid and his friend's kids can play.

I have 2 know, now that the season is over, what did u think of ur A/B team or Orange/Black team or whatever they decided 2 call it!?!? & how did u like paying 2 get into 100 required games u know ur kid wasnt gonna play in? Dixon sucked! He was 100% incompetent! Glad Jason & Nate headed the "B" team! As for Jen Clark, I didn't hear 1 parent NOT saying the same things she was, she was just louder! The whole damn season was a waste of time & I feel her frustration! I loved the basketball party our kids got during school hrs, too! Guess it was the only way Dixon could save a little face.

Heard Morris was gonna coach 7th grade next year. Won't be able to blame him for bias because he won't have a kid on the team. Heard that's why he wanted the 7th grade....because he didn't want to coach his kid anymore.

Won't have to worry about an A/B thing next year because more than half of them will get cut.
