he is a chiropractor--not a medical doctor---should not be called a doctor, nor should anyone else that has a PHD in anything but medicine....i have degree in health care but not in medicine---people don't call me Dr. health administration---nor do they call nurses or pharmicists with PHD's --"Dr."-he is a back popper only---no science there, just BS.-----chiropractors are people who didn't get accepted into real medical school, or just did not apply for fear of failure----WAKE UP WORLD-----don't be fooled by fakes and quacks!!!

DC means doctor of chiropractory. Sorry, but the correct title would be Doctor. MD means Medical doctor.

You are misinformed, the previous poster is correct. Dr. Johnson is technically a doctor - a Doctor of Chiropractic. Not an MD, but a doctor nonetheless.

And for the record, it is correct to refer to anyone with a Ph.D. as 'doctor', regardless of whether it is in medicine or mathematics. If a nurse continued his/her education to the doctoral level, he/she would be referred to as 'Dr.'. Same for a pharmacist.
you are stupid

everyone knows that a PHD affords a title of"Doctor", but when lay (common) people think of doctor, they think of someone who diagnoses, treats, and sometimes cures disease/illnesses. Someone with a PHD in theology or astronomy would not be allowed near my bedside if i'm laid up in the hospital----I'd want a real doctor----an MD--not a quackopractor!!!!LOL_LOL

OMG-if you actually knew what you were talking about-you would know that nobody said that Shannon Johnson was a MD. And he would never treat you "at your bedside"! Good lord, you people are stupid! Shannon is a great chiropractor-he has made some bad decisions-but that doesnt affect his ability to be a chiropractor!

I was a patient of DR. Johnson's for almost a year. I had to have back surgery and DR. Johnson kept me coming in for treatments even though I was not working and couldn't pay. He runs his practice by the oath he took and compassion for his patients. He is the best chiropractor in our area. As far as his personal life goes " it's none of y'all business!" So go get a real job or pick up a good hobby and leave good people alone!(I Aint His Wife or Mother!) Ha Ha

These posts originally asked what kind of person Shannon Johnson was and before it was conveniently deleted, you had my opinion on that. As for the way he runs his practice, it is not by the OATH that he took. YOU might want to get on the Internet and look up "Chiropractic Oath." When he came to my house at 4:30 a.m. while I was at work and my kids were upstairs in bed, HE made it personal. I guess he was doing that for the PASSION, not compassion, of his patient. I suppose he was upholding his OATH as a chiropractor as my then wife was upholding her wedding vows.
As for a real job, I have one. As for a real hobby, I have one of those too. It is my kids that I do not get to see enough because the good DR. was upholding his Hypacritic, not Hypacratic, oath and making home visits to a married woman. You can keep going to the good dr. because of his PRO BONO work if you want. Not sure if you are male or female because of your pin name but if you are married, your husband can worry about if the dr is upholding his oath. If you have a daughter, you can wonder if he is upholding his oath also with her. Have a nice day.
hmmmmm
