Does anyone know any of the Raceland firefighters? What do you think about them? Do you feel safe?

Trust me, they are very adequate at their job. I would just like to know what Worthington Son is up to. But, unfortunately, he hasn't had the nerve to anser me.

i know all of the fighters that are on the Raceland fire dept. and i have seen them at work on house fire and car wrecks and they do a pretty good job at what they do. i live here in raceland so heres what i think if you dont feel safe move or dont come to the city of Raceland:)

i too know all of the firefighters as well, and wonder why you would even ask if we feel safe. i also agree with raceland boy, if you don't feel then move or stay out of our city. its up to you!!!!

I know them all as well, and while maybe slightly misguided, they do a good job. I had some doubts, but they have shown me that they are pretty good at what they do. RFD, you have my support!

misguided? I would have to say i find that hard to believe. I'd like to know how you can take a group of 20+ volunteer individuals, most of which as young as this group, and have them time and time again prove themselves always prepared, quick to respond, quickly resolve the issue, and look around and say, "What now?" How can they be misguided. In my opinion, I say, Great job to the whole dept! You are a valued asset to your community and those choosing to pass thru your fire district.

You got that right, I wouldn't come to the City of Raceland. There's no police protection there. They let murderers walk the streets. One has walked the streets for almost 2 years and nothing has been done.

The Police chief knows who I'm talking about. I guess "mommas" don't mean anything to you people.

i know most of them on the team and there great they do a really great job...ppl dont really know what kind of work a fire fighter does..let me tell you its not easy at times....until u become a fire fighter then dont say nothing about them...

why are people so interested in downgrading local governments, fire dept. is a volunteer service willing to put there life on the line to protect life and property.

What investigation are you referring too? Or are you just shooting off at the mouth trying to start trouble? We,(yes, I am a Raceland Firefighter) are unaware of any investigations into our dept. If you know something, please enlighten us. Otherwise, stop the BS and Sh** stirring. No changes are needed.
