The people who live in the city need to get together and find some new blood for council and mayor. These people live so far back in time it ain't funny....

i agree we do but nobody wants to have a business in raceland because of its mayor and council. Half of them want to try and live in the 1920's and dont want no change to the city... So ppl put some names on here of ppl you would like to see for council and mayor

first off, no lori and pete are not taking anything from the city but a paycheck and a whole lot of b.s. lori has been there the longest and that is because she knows what she is doing and has not messed up, look at the ones who got fired over the past couple of years, Q: why did they get fired? Don't elect anyone until an extensive background and reference check have been done. Look at the trouble that Worthington council got themselves into when the Focker man was elected. He's been nothing but trouble and scandals.

We need to get a new mayor council and some other stuff in the town. But no ones wants to build anything in a town that lives in the 1920's.... These ppl on council have been on there for years im not saying that once upon a time they done a bad job but it's time for change!!!!!!! Poor joyce dont even no what day of the week it is. There just needs to be some ppl with some money skills and managment skills... this town is so far out of date it aint funny.. they passed the payroll tax and they say there broke if so then where is all the money going to????? And have you seen the streets we have to drive on? Go to colvin Heights i bet there aint no pot holes on there rodes.. Thats rights the mayor lives up there dont want to make his voters mad>>>> And that community center is a dead exsoense to the city for the older ppl to use it for free but the citizens have to rent it. the citizens pay water bills and they fund the building as far as electric water so on but u have to rent it out. to use it. But the Old timmers can go there and play cards for free...... this place just needs change So if dyou kno of someone that would make a good council member tell them to run or a good mayor..... And tom just dont kno what he wants to do these days he voted no to doing maint. on the citys fire trucks.. That is just crazy the trucks that have to save the lives of the kids we raise and maybe even your very own self so we all need to think about this stuff before we vote for these people next time. But i guess tom dont care he dont even live in the city he just owns property there so whats it to him... And have you seen the city park its a dump they need to buy some new equipment to put in the park that is not dangerous to the kids.......... And mike you cant even talk to him without him blowing up just look at it this way he was going to fight someone from progress raill at the council meeting that night is that someone you want making decisions for your city???????? didnt think so...

To CITIZEN---i agree, Raceland is so far behind.It's sad.Councilmen wanting to Fight? other sister city councilmen being accused of child molestation!!---Please- someone with morals,character and strong leadership skills---STEP UP!!!

The Fire turcks and Police cruisers are too busy escorting ballteams from the school when they win an event. About a month ago, I was alarmed and worried about my son who was driving home from a friends, when I heard the all the sirens and such, so I called the city building just to find out that the girls volleyball team had won a game.....woooohoooo, our taxpayer dollars at work, this is ridiculous!!! When this city is so poor, why would we waste resources on such frivolous expenses? I mean, you have to put gas in these big deisel engines, the manpower hours, when they should be patroling streets and such. It is a shame, who cares if they won a ballgame, our streets need fixing, our water bills and city taxes are a joke!! Please, Please City of Raceland, while we are in a crisis, please do not use our taxpaying dollars to "celebrate" a high school victory, this is crazy!!!

Well i dont take 100 dollars to do that and there was no police cars in the sscort and u never called the city building for the volley ball team sscort that was like 9 oclock aT NIGHT .. so get your stry straight before shooting off at the mouth .....

cause if its john rowe then dont take your kids to the parade-he'll run them little bastards over----LOL---IF its J. Focker in worthington, he'll probably try to ask one of them out on a date and tell them they can sit on his lap and blow his horn!!!!SICKOS

I think it is awful that you refer to children as little bastards Do you not have children? If not then I understand why God never gave you any,an as far as the fire trucks escorting the ball team winners home I think it is great at least someone cares about them and the things they do.I am glad we still have people such as our Fire depts and our police officers that care about kids. Maybe you would be a better person if you did some vol work like the Fire fighters in greenup co do. These men and women vol their time to come out at the drop of a pin weather sitting down to eat Christmas Dinner or going to see their child in a play at school.Please think twice before you refer to Gods children as bastards, and you down someone for what they do as a vol in their own town. By the way I dont even live in Raceland.
