Texas bill would block police from
enforcing new federal gun laws
Associated Press, by Staff

Under a measure advancing in the Texas Capitol, local police officers could be convicted of a crime for enforcing any new federal gun control laws. Rep. Steve Toth, a newly elected Republican from the Woodlands, said his proposal would prevent officers from carrying out any future federal orders to confiscate assault rifles and ammunition magazines. "There´s a federal law, there´s a 30-round magazine right in front of you - what do I do?" Toth said in an interview. The measure known as the Firearm Protection Act "answers that question in spades," he said.

Gov. Rick Perry: Texas
Will Never Go Blue
Wall Street Journal, by Neil King, Jr.

For many, it’s the country’s ultimate over-the-horizon electoral question: Could Texas become a blue state? To which Texas Republican Gov. Rick Perry emits a hearty guffaw. Texas going blue, he says,“is the biggest pipedream I have ever heard.” To explain just how preposterous, Gov. Perry summons the example of the state’s two arch rivals, the University of Texas and Texas A&M, his alma mater, whose colors are maroon and white.“The University of Texas will change its colors to maroon and white before Texas goes purple, much less blue,” he said in an interview

Congressman: No Golf for Obama Until WH Tours Resume
National Review Online, by Andrew Stiles

Representative Louie Gohmert (R., Texas) has filed an amendment to the House GOP’s six-month continuing resolution that would bar federal funds from being spent on President Obama’s golf outings until public tours of the White House start up again. Earlier today, the White House announced that it was cancelling public tours beginning March 9 as a result of spending cuts mandated by sequestration.

Texas Student Disciplined for Refusing to Recite Mexican National Anthem, Lawsuit Says
Fox News Latino, by Ildefonso Ortiz

MCALLEN, TEXAS – A Texas couple claims their daughter’s school district tried to force her to sing the Mexican national anthem and recite that country´s pledge of allegiance against her will -- then punished her for standing her ground. When the teen refused to participate, arguing it was against her beliefs as an American, she was eventually thrown out of the class and then given a failing grade for that day’s assignment, the lawsuit says. William Brinsdon filed the lawsuit on behalf of his daughter, Brenda.

About thre weeks ago, there was a news article that Governor Perry had informed the Federal Reserve Bank of New York that the Texas Gold Reserves deposited there should be returned to Texas.
Last week Governor Perry informed Obama that the Texas Dept. of Transportation would fund the operation in the Airport towers in Texas, that they were going to close down because of the Sequested mandatory cuts on the Federal Budget.

In praise of Rick Perry’s poaching
New York Post, by Rich Lowry

What you’re now hearing across the land is a collective whine. Blue-state Democrats are upset that Texas Gov. Rick Perry dares come and play in their sandboxes, and worse, threatens to “poach” jobs from their states. The Web site Politico reports that Perry’s attempts to lure jobs to Texas are “infuriating to prominent Democrats around the country.” Gov. Jerry Brown of California — Perry’s foremost target — has dismissed Perry’s handiwork in scatological terms. Democrats from Illinois huff and puff about the temerity of it all.“He better not take our businesses away,” Sen. Dick Durbin warned. Or what, exactly.

I hope Turban,(misspelled deliberatly) takes his pants down before he does it.

So teabagger, did you ALSO misspell quietly, three, sequestered, and deliberately, on purpose?

You sure do like talking to yourself, don't you?

Typical wingnut moron.
