I just love it when people use Book, Chapter and Verse to teach people truth.

It is good to see people get straight to the truth without dodging or weaving.(Jn 17:17)(1Tim. 2:4)

13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.(1Thess.2:13)

No, I am not kidding and neither did I make this up. It all comes directly from the word of God (1Peter 4:11)(Deut. 4:2)(1Cor. 4:6).

People have been adding and subtracting from the word of God since the beginning. Each time someone does this they produce another church.

Why not restore the first century church?

Is this to much to ask for?

I am looking at all the churches in the phone book or the weekly paper and I am asking the very same question you asked me.

Are you kidding?

All these churches are not found in the bible.

Where did all these churches come from?(Gal. 1:10)

The word of God says to teach the very same doctrine?(1Cor. 1:10)(Phil. 3:16-19).

The word of God has been saying this from the beginning.

11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:(Eph. 3:11)

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.(Mt. 4:35)

16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:(Eph. 2:16)

In verse 11 above we learn God planned from the foundation of the world to save people in Christ (in the church)(Eph. 5:23). The church was not an afterthought.

In verse 35 above we learn the word of God will not pass away. We stand on firm ground if we have book chapter and verse as our spiritual foundation.

In verse 16 above we learn that God will reconcile both (Jew/Gentile) in the church (or in the body). Here is where most people think men are crazy for preaching what the bible says (the one church/body). They cannot accept that all men are to be saved in one body (Eph. 1:22,23)(Col. 1:18,24)(1Cor. 12:20).

The problem is, people of our day have seen all the churches on each corner and accepted them, after-all, they have been there all their lives. They have not checked in the New Testament to see if God accepts all these churches. They many times do not think they can understand the Bible, so they had rather listen to the preacher and accept what the preacher says rather than search in the Bible for God's answers (Act 17:11)(Jn 5:39)(1Jn 4:1-6).

Friends (Eph. 2:16) needs to be studied by each and every person who desires to go to heaven, it needs to be studied by every racist, it needs to be studied by everyone who contends all churches are sanctioned by God almighty.

Just because the church you attend can be found in the phone book in no way means it can be found in the Bible.(Jn 5:39)(Acts 17:11).

1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world...6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.(1Jn 4:1-6)

Which church did the apostles belong to in the first century?

Was it the Baptist Church?

...the Catholic Church?

...the Lutheran Church?

...the Episcopal Church?

...the Pentecostal Church?

...the Methodist Church?

The churches of Christ salute you.(Rom. 16:16)

20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.(1Cor. 12:20)

The body = The Church (Col. 1:18,24)(Eph. 1:22,23)

No one knows, because the jesus myth wasn't written until several decades after the whole fairy tale supposedly took place.

Each time you look at your watch, each time you write a check, each time you look to see what the date is, you are acknowledging Jesus the Christ lived on the earth. Whether you agree or not, whether you believe or not, whether you go to heaven or hell.

If you really study the bible you will find the fact that it was all written down at a later date with such perfection actually proves it to be the word of God.(Jn 14:26)(Jn 16:13)(2Peter 1:3)(Jude 3).

Several lines of evidence converge to establish the historical
reality of the founder of the Christian religion:

the New Testament documents;

ancient Jewish sources;

Roman writings;

early antagonists of Christianity;

the testimony of the patristic writers;

the art of the Roman catacombs;

the impact of Christianity in history.

Yeah, right. Brought to you by the same people who have lied to humanity for thousands of years. Money, and the concept of souls, are both inventions of man.

Stop believing. Start thinking.

There is an easy way to tell which church is (or is not) the church the Lord established in (Acts 2).

Just look up the establishment DATE of the church you attend.

From the Catholic Church in 606AD till the last church established.

One can then look at WHO established the church you attend.(Mt.16:18,19)(Acts 20:28).

If a man instead of Jesus established the church you attend you are not in the church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

One could look at the prophecies of the OT to see when the Church of Jesus Christ was to be established.(Isa. 2:1-5)(Micah4)
(Dan. 2:44)(Joel 2:28).

Not a one of those churches from the Catholic Church onward are THE CHURCH (THE WAY / THE BODY) the word of God speaks of in the NT.

They we all established by the wrong person.

They were all established in the wrong place.

They were all established at the wrong time.

They all have creed-books which either add to or subtract from the word fo God (Deut.4:2)(1Cor.4:6)(Rev.22:18 ,19).

The preachers of today do not want you to know all this information b/c the church they preach for does not harmonize with the information found in the word of God.

The preachers of today tell people it really does not matter about doctrine, establishment date, organization of the church, etc. So they have come up with a nice sounding way of all getting along without pointing a finger at the other one. They want all the churches to "agree to disagree".

Notice the follwoing scripture -

9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.(2Jn 9)

After reading the scripture above does doctrine matter?

9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.(Mt.15:9)

*******

One last way to prove the church you attend is from God (or not).

Can you find it in the New Testament?

The churches of Christ -(Rom. 16:16)(Mt. 16:18)(Acts 20:28)

21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.(1Thess. 5:21)

It is most likely the church you attend does not speak about when it was established.

Each person needs to know WHEN the church you attend was established.

Each person needs to know WHO established the church you attend.

Each person needs to know WHERE the church you attend was established.

The Bible long ago (in OT) gave information about this important information. The reason not one denomination will raise these questions is b/c they know their church does not meet any of these requirements. If one church points the finger at another church, then they all will be pointing at each other for the very same reason.

What the denominations decided long ago is that those things are not really necessary for salvation. So they all got together and decided too "agree to disagree" on these matters.

About now you should hear a bell ringing in your head. That bell is reminding you to research this information to see why denoms "agree to disagree" about certain information. The Lord did not give such a command.

Since long ago denoms decided to keep quiet about their differences rather than look into the word of God and submit to God on each and every matter. this act will cost millions of people their souls in Hell.

If you cannot find the church you attend in the New Testament do some research and learn WHEN and WHERE it was established and just WHO built the church you attend. It just might help save your soul and the souls of your children (Jn 5:39)(Acts 17:11)(1Jn 4:1-6).

And the churches of Christ lie about theirs instead. While claiming that all other groups are false, they point to Pentecost as their start, yet can not trace themselves through history. They are the secret hidden church behind the scenes.

You really have the nerve to post these? At least one of these posts speaks much of Alexander Campbell. You know (if you would admit it) that Alexander Campbell wouldn't be allowed to partake of the Lords Supper or be considered a brother in your coc.

Ps- why did the first century church need restored? Was Jesus wrong in Matthew 16? How can you restore something that never was gone?
