Really? His kids were the inspiration?

I thought maybe the guy who lost weight from eating Subway & who's making good money from Subway commercials was the inspiration.

Hoping to be n McD"s commercials had nothing to do with it?

Otherwise, he would have just bought healthy food at a grocery store & ate at home most of the time.

Maybe I'll start saying I lost weight by eating meals everyday at Pizza Hut. Not the pizza, just the salad bar food. Maybe I'll get a commercial deal.

Note - he did lose weight, but ate high-fat foods (cheeseburger w/ no bun). Subway diet is healthier for you.

Well what this story didn't add was what he ate. Another story said he ate mostly wraps and apples with an occasional cheeseburger.

"Well what this story didn't add was what he ate."

Tom, the article did state what he ate at McDonalds.

Man, this bleep is bleeped up. There's no salad clown at McD's. There a fry clown, a shake clown, a burger clown (me) and the general store manager clown (Ron). What is this place coming to???? Next thing, we'll have a clown dressed up like a carrot.

Spurlock's documentary focused on value meals and the super-sized fries and drinks...hence, the name of the doc...

Just so you know...

Where did you get that he ate cheeseburgers? The article says:

"Not Big Macs, french fries and chocolate shakes. Mostly salads, wraps and apple dippers without the caramel sauce."

Hey, sarahmas, get off our comment board! Spurlock's documentary was important in that it shows that we can't live on hamburgers and fries alone.

I had a client in the south who literally ate KFC every weeknight. My Lord.

How much did this guy spend on MickeyD's over this period? We could make up for the increase in the cost of gas by actually buying our food at a grocery store and preparing it at home (gasp!).

On the other hand, I could use me an Egg McMuffin right now.

Someone is being very informative and helpful, especially if you want them to explain something that you don't understand, so listen carefully to what they tell you.
