I think what happens is that changes to the building have to be approved. At Ysleta High School when they replaced the windows this year, they had to be exactly the same. It takes a lot of money. To replace the wooden doors at Austin took tens of thousands of dollars just for 6 doors. Houston is not worth it. There is a point where it is cheaper to put a new building than renovate. Houston is way past that point.
Exactly the reason that El Paso needs to purchase this gem from irresponsible EPISD. The city can take this piece of prime real estate and turn a handsome profit for itself. I don't know why they are just dragging their feet on making an offer to EPISD. EPISD is vunerable right now in the mist of their financial situation and failure to pass TRE. I say go for it city of El Paso.

Guess you havent gotten the word, one broke entity is going to buy from another broke entity. EP's credit card is at 70 million dollars and 16 million dollars in current DEFICIT and is having serious trouble balancing the books for COMING fiscal year.

You're another m0r0n who doesn't know how to spell "their". You're probably a product of EPISD. It doesn't look good when you are trying to make a point and you can't even spell. You dumbazzzz.

Back to the point; isn't this a Trost building anyways? If this is a Trost building or is designated a historic building by the idiots on city council, DO NOT BUY THIS BUILDING, it will become your money pit.
