This is in reference to Ban on Cell phone. There is a law in the state of Texas (we are in Texas?) banning the use of cell phones in a school zone. Just becasue the signs are not posted at this time does not mean there is not a law. Here is areprint from the Texas news letter.
Know Your Laws: Texas School Safety Laws
We value our children's education and want them to be safe at school; we also want them to be safe while getting there! We have laws in place so that the school zones, the high-traffic areas where our children walk, bike, and get on their buses, are as safe as possible. Here are some of the laws:
Regardless of the direction they are headed, cars must stop for flashing red lights on a school bus - violations can lead to a $1,000 fine! Continue your trip once the bus has moved, the flashing lights stop, or the bus driver signals to you that you may pass. When people illegally pass a school bus, they are putting the neighborhood children at risk.
A pedestrian at a crosswalk (marked or unmarked) has the right-of-way by law. If you do not to stop for them and they are injured, you will be liable.
In Texas, fines (including speeding tickets and failure to yield) double in school zones. Follow the posted speed limit.
Texas has more than 9,000 schools! It's important to be especially careful around our children. Keep an eye on children who are gathered at bus stops or pick-up spots and watch for children who might dart across the street to catch the bus. Some basic guidelines include:
Reduce your speed - you never know when you will need to stop suddenly.
Obey the crossing guard if there is one.
Do not pass other vehicles in school zones. This is dangerous and illegal in most areas at certain times.
In Texas, we all agree that our children are precious, so let's work together to protect them while they go to and from school. Follow these laws and always keep safety in mind. reprint Texas News letter.
When are we going to start protecting our children?

Kentucky republiturd senator, Jim Bunning is a frustrated warped biter old man!
This vindictive swine is telling us all to go take a hike!
This is the type of pretentious arrogant old white fools that feel they are entitled, that idiot voters place in office!
He's merely striking back at anyone he can, because he's been told to retire and has continually been voted the worst senator, time and again!
This filibustering is his payback!
Just get rid of this idiot already!
Where are the rest of the republicans to put a stop to this moron, and get busy with doing the work they were sent to do?
Obviously, playing politics while using the people as pawns and scoring political points is much more important to the republicans!
The name of the game is self-preservation, while you and I are left suffering!!!

Sounds like Fernando Garcia is just a closed minded bigot who has never been to a Tea Party gathering here in el paso and seen that people of all races are tired of being crushed by the governemnt. Aside from that he is a liar. Anyone publicly calling to hang a senator would be arrested.

Now that we have heard from the uninformed bigot, here is the real deal. Bunning did not filibuster anything, he is simply forcing the Democrat congress to adhere to rules that they just enacted into law which say that any new money spent by the government has to be paid for by reducing spending in another area or by generating new revenue (taxes). This budgetary rule called Paygo (pay as you go) was written by Democrats and signed into law by Barry O. In the very first instance where the paygo rule is to apply, the Federal Transportation Admin is out of money and the democrats want to make an exemption to paygo. Bunning is simply enforcing a rule that the Democrats created to protect the citizens from exactly this type of unwise spending. The end result that FEDUP considers such a travesty is that around 2000 federal "workers" will be furloughed, putting them in the same position as all us private sector shlubs who have seen our salaries reduced.

Jim Bunning is a frustrated warped bitter old man! He's not running again, but he's definitely helping his buddies by not voting. The fix is in...Bunning will do all he can to ruin all chances of reform in this country. Bet he has a nephew or son looking for a job, his cronies will be there to help him out for his services to the Republican party.

I hope Bunning keeps up his excellent work! The libs are going crazy with our tax dollars.

I hope we can still have sex in cars. But I guess phone sex might be banned.

EPcynic, and Geo, please get a grip on reality!
Bunning's tactics are only hurting those that can least afford it!
When will you republicans stop the hypocrisy?
The GOP is only grandstanding and hopes morons support their cause, and it's obvious it's working, judging by the nincompoops that agree with these swines!
You two must be very wealthy to be able to afford supporting such immoral politics!
Just let the rest of us, "eat cake", right?

wHAT IS WRONG ABOUT A PICTURE ID??!! Are you a blithering idiot Mary? We need an id for driving, checks, credit card use, what about something as frikkin important AS VOTING!!!!As far as literacy tests, so many people voting have absolutely no idea what the bejeezus thier voting for. Only who is going to support them and thier families, which is self defeating for those of us who continually pay for, not only those who need it and earned it, but the chronic slackers lifestyle as well. And im sorry, but the negative remarks about our President is fair as every President who have had, and those to follow have and will get negative remarks. Its seems its part of being the President. It's cool to bash the republican Presidents, so its cool to bash the democrats as well. No matter how good any of them do, someone will always hate on them.

Sorry about my spelling on my previous post, was so frustrated!! FEDUP, if the Demos did indeed, as EP stated, wrote this paygo into law, why the hell arent they following it? So we are going to "borrow" another, what 10 billion dollars, to help these, yes, unfortunate people. But somewhere down the line we are going to get it from someone or somewhere. More taxes? We are suking are nation into a hole with all the give mes, help mes and support mes....and dude, lay off the damn republican, conservative, white guy BS. Everybody can suc whenever as far as im concerned, you sound like a frikkin bigot yourself dude, always on the same sheet of bitching and blaming. And btw, according to NPR last night, the republicans are already working to turn the filibuster around, so chill out.

Fedup - you are all screwed up!
Bunning is just doing what your Hussein has asked congress to do and signed into law.
If you have the guts - which most liberals are lacking - watch this clip.
#12 Mar 2, 2010
Bobby how stupid can you be?
Bunning voted aginst the pay-go, before he was for it, which is, now! He claimed the pay-go amendment didn't have enough teeth! If that were true how come he's able to invoke it now?
Before putting your foot in your mouth check out the facts!
As Reid told Lamar Alexander, "you are entitled to your opinion, but not to your own facts"!
Talk about overt hypocrisy!
This is exactly why our government is broken! These representatives only represent themselves and their business cronies!
Bunning is what I called him earlier, a vindictive warped frustrated old fart!
Only lashing out as a last resort since he won't be back!
Good riddance to this pig I say!
