It would have been ridiculous to require City Hall to provide back-up documents -- nearly a week in advance -- for City Council agenda items.

But then, hey, it might just slow down the hurried passing of inane ordinances and regulations and might work for the better of the population as a whole. What's the matter, could it be that might it also slow down your news coverage and force you to write better columns and articles? Nah, that couldn't possibly be it. After all, you guys are the saviors and protectors of the community. You know anything and everything about any all things. Why, you could possibly running the whole thing. Then you could assign one of your cub reporters to write about your terrific results and how the city is progressing splendidly. After all, you know how everything should be done and when it should be done.

Back in the day when I was in the military overseas, I used to subscribe to your newspaper. It would get to me a few days late but I would read it and share it with my buddies. They would laugh and call your newspaper a "rag." I guess your quality hasn't changed.
here it comes again

I think it makes absolute since for all documents to be included with the agenda for the public's review online, and by request from the City Manager's office once the agenda is set.
Why are the overwhelming number of items on the County Commissioner's weekly agenda submitted with backup and only ocassionally is backup handed out usually if/when something changed or something pending was completed after the agenda was set and that seems to work pretty well, so the question is what is so special about the city folks the can't get everything together in one sock the Thursday before a Tuesday City Council meeting?
