There are many eyesores in Quinlan. The biggest of which is the Cotton Gin with grafiti all over it. Who owns this? and is there any way some city officials could do something about it.

Why don't you trot over to city hall and see what they tell you? I'll wait for your answer. If I don't choke to death laughing first, that is.

I am offended by the comment of yours about "white trash" in Quinlan. You do not have to be "poor" to be "white trash". So, come on all the Dallas money and become white trash with the rest of us.

It has a history of the area also ,yes, the graffiti is an eyesore.oh and that white trash comment needs to stay in Dallas with all the other assorted A-holes.go on back down to the Grove or Buckner or Masters or wherever you are from.

I live in quinlan and think the cotton gin looks cool. They should just make it a place where people can legally do graffitti...i mean...its already covered with it so why not let kids and artists do pieces on it legally? Better there than having them vandalize places illegally!

I have appealed to every agency that I can get an ear from, bottom line is that the city council will have to enforce the city ordinances that the building violates and there several of them. The first problem is that our "consultant to the city" Billy Green owns the land and the property. The second problem is that our "good ole boy" city council is comprised of lifelong friends and business associates of Billy. I have spent more time trying to get that building shaped up and painted in the last two years than I have sleeping. At one time I did get the sherriff's office involved due to the pornography involved and was able to ge a single 12'x12' square painted. I will be running for city council in may. Any votes will help.

Really dude??? You're running for city council and this is your platform? Wow!!! The good thing is all the other things in Quinlan are taken care of so this is the last thing that needs to be taken care of. Get real!

Sounds like you hear what you want so i won't boother to argue. The cotton gin problem started two years ago and the "pornography" problem was a ten foot depiction of two men having anal sex. My 8 year old son spotted it from the school bus he rides. I do think state and federal crimes ALL need to be taken care of even if the city council are a pack of your buddies. This was the very start of my battle uphill. Meth, burglaries, copper theft, animal control and corruption are all very real in Quinlan. Since it began several years ago I have come a long way, don't think I havent. You only read my comment of a post. Get Informed!

Really? Nice pseudonym.(Look it up.) You sound quite content with the problems that we live with. It would be quite easy to change the way this city does business. If you don't care to change them simply don't vote. I am not now, nor have I ever made it a habit to argue about right and wrong. Right is right and wrong is wrong, period. My attitude is the same as it has always been. I should be able to live in my own hometown, free of 10' porn, methheads, burgulars, copper thieves and city corruption. Since that is definitly not going to change on its own I will at least try to do something about it. If you know a better way to fix it all you have to do is show me. I, unlike our sitting council am all ears.

It's a moniker boy wonder, not a pseudonym. I admire your desire to fix Q-Town, but what's that old saying about rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic? Exactly. Best way to improve Quinlan is to move.

Do you actually live in the city limits of Quinlan? If you do maybe I can put that quick wit of your to good use. You talk the talk (quite well I must admit, as good or better than me) wanna help me flush a toilet or just look at the crap thats floating in it? I put three felons behind bars this week, with the help of several friends on the sherriff's dept (I ALWAYS give credit where credit is due, Thanks Tommy, Chris, Wren). What can you do to help out next week? If you have a particular skill lets use it.
